I get a ton of compliments when I use Sol de Janeiro Bom Dia Bright Body Wash and lotion from women and men. Everyone carries a scent differently, but this is a favorite of mine and lotion is very moisturizing on my ultra dry skin. It wasn’t till I was getting lab work done and had one of the best compliments ever, and all I could recall was Bom Dia pink bottle and the person knew instantly. I purchased this after having a not great experience with a widely known name brand’s (starts with O and rhymes with oy vey) salicylic body wash. That one made my skin terribly tight and itchy. Even though I thought it might be because I’m sometimes sensitive to fragrances, I took a shot at Bom Dia Bright because I just love the SDJ scents. I’m blown away by the lather, and HOW SOFT it is leaving my skin, with no itchiness or tightness. The scent is not overpowering at all but lingers softly. I bought this to try to help my KP. I’ve tried other lotions and stuff to get rid of it, but they all seem to be kinda greasy and not work, and I just don’t keep up with lotions. This has gotten rid of like 95% of my bumps! Helps that it’s a body wash so I just use it when I shower. I’ve been using it for a few months and within the first few washes I could tell a difference, and with consistent use, it’s almost all gone! I use it with a soft sponge, not a rough washcloth or loofah, I’ve read that scrubs can irritate KP and this has AHA which is a chemical exfoliant, which is what I think helps so much! I also use the Bom Dia Bightening cream along with this, but not consistently. The scent is lovely and very summery. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has KP and is looking to smooth their skin out. It’s definitely worth the price I think!! ... show more

    • Sooo Why is This So Freaking Expensive?

When I received this body wash and discovered that I paid $20 for something that was roughly the size of my thumb - I was a bit disappointed. Both at myself for not paying attention to the ounces and with this company for charging so much money for this little bitty bottle of soap. So then I used it, hoping that there would be some kind of a goddess in the bottle that would change my perception regarding the cost. Unfortunately there was not. However, I did like the smell of the soap (although it was unique - like a guava mixed with dragonfruit) and the way it made my skin feel was not drying or unpleasant. I would likely need to use it a lot longer to see the benefits as described. But Oh! I can’t use it longer. The bottle is the size of my thumb. For 20$. If it was cheaper, I would try it again.
