These socket organizers are fantastic. The rails are made of hard plastic that don't bend or warp from the weight of sockets on them. They are modular so you can mix and match sizes on a single rail. You can even cut the rails down to make them shorter for less sockets on the rail. My only gripe I have is very minor but the 1/4 inch holders have a little wobble to them compared to the 3/8ths and 1/2, other than that I fully recommend these. Great price and great value. For the price, these aren't bad at all. They're all plastic except for the ball on the post, but seem decent enough. You can slide them along the rail as needed, but don't really lock in place, though they don't freely slide on their own either. They're unmarked, so they give you stickers for the sockets but I'll never use those because I don't need stickers on my sockets and can't think of anything else to use them for. The ends of the rails pull off, so you can actually move the different sizes around to your satisfaction, mixing and matching on the same rail if you like. I already have cases or rails for all my complete socket sets, but what I really wanted these for are to prevent overflow/extra sockets from rolling around in the drawer, and to organize accessories. For example, adapters. Put all the 1/2" to whatever on a rail, including swivels, universal, etc. Or you can also group by adapter type, such as all swivels of all sizes on one rail. Those types of things often don't come with cases, so I was wondering how I was going to organize them until I saw these, and therefore I'm actually glad that these are not marked. I have an old Pittsburg 1/2" impact socket set that gets stuck in the factory holders and I spend more time trying to pry off the sockets (without breaking the plastic) than I do using them. It's a 13 piece set, and this has clips/holders for 12 (12 blue/ 12 red or each size). I stole one holder from another set to complete my 13. The rubber ends of the rails come off so you can add/subtract holders, and you can flip the holders around. My set is pretty wide and would not fit all 13 on the same side, so I flipped half the clips around so sockets hang off both sides. Plenty of rail space when doing 2-sided. The clips/holders are not magnetic, but they do have a spring/ball and I would recommend lining those up with the holes in your sockets. Randomly putting the sockets on without aligning, the sockets would just fall off. But lined up there is enough friction to hold them in place. ... show more
