I wash my face with this nightly before applying my trentinoin and snail mucin moisturizer. Admittedly, I have a multi-step routine that my dermatologist created, so it's hard to isolate the results of this one step alone. But I CAN say, it's not hurting my acne-prone skin in any way. The actives in this soap have worked for my skin before, so I was comfortable using them again. My skin is typically oily, but bc of the trentinoin, it's been on the dryer side while using this soap. Additionally, my skin is NOT sensitive. I lather this on my face, and let it sit for a minute. At times, I end up rinsing it off and repeating bc the soap causes my dead skin to rub off. After the second wash, my face is always shiny and clean. I'm on my 4th bar of this cleanser and sold on continuing to use it. ... show more

The ingredients in this are potent. In 3 washs it has started clearing up this stubborn skin infection I was treating with tolnaftate and miconazole nitrate for about 2 weeks. This is definitely working faster. I've washed my face with it two mornings so far and have seen improvement in my acne as well. The formula appears to be as advertised, minus the inactive ingredients. There are no such ingredients listed on the package. Do be mindful about leaving the bar too wet and leaving it in a case/on the rack, it will kinda melt down at the point of contact and sink/smoosh if it was a long or hot shower. Other soaps I've used (like Defense's bar) don't do this. Not rly an issue. The smell of the soap is quite strong at times and handling the soap can cause the smell to stick. The scent isn't bad. It lasts most the day. Using this soap feels like declaring atomic warfare on whatever poor unlucky organism you need gone. In other words, thank you Katialis for the big guns. ... show more

Tried 4 different over the counter products, all helped but none of it was killing the infection, just kind of keeping it from being at full growth. This, when done twice a day as directed, actually killed it. Now I use it on occasion if I ever have a suspicion that I might have something. Maybe once every 2 weeks if that. Nothing has come back. Definitely give this a try, especially if you are struggling with the other stuff not working as advertised. ... show more

The new scent is giving "men who put too much cologne on for brunch" rather than the previous scent which was more like, "peaceful breakfast on a Sunday". Oddly specific, I know. But I really miss the old scent. Please bring it back. (And update your product packaging to reflect the different soaps, please!) Product wise, both soaps seem to do (almost) the same thing. This helped me relieve the skin issue I was dealing with that regular store bought soaps couldn't seem to do, which was great. But the skin irritation (burning, tingly feeling) from the new mystery ingredient(s) is not so fun, and the new scent disappointing. The new soap is also more of a brown color, while the previous one was more ivory, like the other photo reviews from other buyers. Not only is it a bit disingenuous to change the product without warning and keep the packaging the same, but also, some customers might prefer the brown scent, while others might like the ivory better. The ivory was one of the most natural smelling soaps I've ever had, and I really loved it (as did my skin.) Anyway, hope my review wasn't too harsh. But seriously, I really, really miss the ivory soap. Please bring my favorite ivory colored sulfuric scented soap back if it's been discontinued, pretty please! (Seriously, it really was amazing, and the best) ... show more
