This set comes with the snorkel tube folded in half, not a problem I just hadn't realized/expected it to be that soft. Although not yet beach tested (another 3 weeks) the top valve concept looks like it will work as designed. Also the bottom draining valve. This should be very useful for less experienced/skilled snorkelers such as myself as I seem to have the ability to suck in sea water no matter how hard I try not to. The mask has a good strap that is big enough that a good comfortable watertight seal will be possible for the majority of head sizes. I found the strap very, very easy to adjust both before wearing and during wearing. The adjustment tracks on the strap are quite close together, so you should be able to get just the right fit you want that remains comfortable. The mask also seems comfortable although it will get an extended real world test in a few weeks and any updates will be made to my review. The seal seems to be good after doing a breathe in test and makes me confident there shouldn't be any leak problems in real use. ... show more

I live a few miles from the ocean and there are many beautiful coral reef beaches teeming with aquatic wildlife. This snorkeling gear is great. The face mask has a very thick tempered glass face plate. It provides a panoramic view. The silicone mask is very soft and provides an excellent seal, keeping water out. It is also relatively thin, which is a plus in my opinion. The strap has a wide back side which keeps the mask in place. It is also very easy to adjust. The snorkel is mostly silicone and very flexible. It has an easy to use clip to attach to the face mask strap. There are some small parts to this that may break in the future but has not been an issue thus far. The snorkel is well designed and does a pretty good job of keeping water out while letting air in. The mouthpiece is silicone and easy to hold in your mouth. It also has a purge valve to let out any water that managed to enter the snorkel. It comes with a nice net carry bag that can hold more than the mask and snorkel. I would have liked for it to be even larger, though, to hold my fins as well. This is a very nice set a day trip to the beach for easy snorkeling. It comes with two masks and snorkels. This is great as I do not advise beginner snorklers to go out alone.     • Good Set but Snorkel is a Little Frustrating

This isn't a bad snorkel set at all, but there is a small nitpick that I have with mine specifically. Firstly though, the mask is great, seals well, little bit of fogging but that's to be expected and easily remedied, and the view is great and unobstructed without distortion. The snorkel itself is actually really cool, as it has a float seal mechanism, so you don't get a rush of water into your mouth, and there is a blowout valve on the bottom to clear any water which is very convenient. It also has a pretty cool quick disconnect clip so you can attach or detach it from the mask easily if needed. The only issue I had, was that I wish the flexible corrugation was a little bit longer, because I find that it's constantly trying to pull out of my mouth. The teeth clamps could have also been a little bit wider to help with this, but it is what it is. I've tried different angles, orientations, and heights for the quick connect to help remedy this, but haven't found quite the combination that works just yet. When on vacation near a body of water, we like to snorkel. Sometimes renting is either a hassle or kind of feels icky using equipment that has been used by hundreds of others. It's nice to have your own mask and snorkel to bring along!

I found this mask fits well and is comfortable. It does allow you to pinch your nose and clear your ears. Right out of the box you will have fogging issues until the glass is well scrubbed and cleaned (like any mask). The snorkel has a lower purge valve to drain water out of it and an upper float valve to prevent water from coming in from the top. I would caution anyone new to this type of snorkel to understand how it works and to practice with it (getting the inhale-exhale timing) in shallow water before relying on it in deeper water and more waves. If you get the timing wrong you will be trying to inhale when the top valve is still closed and panic will ensue. Have fun! ... show more
