My presser foot kept slipping out of the holder (shank) as it had been worn out over time and lots of changing of the presser feet. I probably broke 8 needles in the last few days because it would slip out while reverse stitching so replacing the shank felt like an emergency (I use my machine daily). I was so thankful to find this affordable option that was delivered next day - I put it on in 15 seconds and it works perfectly. Have several vintage machines that I need to adapt for the modern presser feet. Have three machines that had screw on presser feet, which has a limited selection. These adaptors fit my 1970 Singer, 1950 Singer and 1998 Kenmore. It seems to be made of a rather flimsy "metal" so I don't know how long they will last.
