The instructions for this are horrible at best. The first couple steps were ok. Put in key and remove the cover. Then it goes into loosen the screws. There is a little bracket with screws. I originally had no idea what to do. It didn't fit in the slot. I took the screws out completely and fiddled with it and finally it worked. I think I will add some washers though. The neighbor kids learned a lot of new words today. These rails had to be sized to fit correctly on my Hyundai, and as there were no instructions provided, there was a lot of trial and error and gnashing of teeth. They're finally on and *seem* sturdy enough. I guess we'll find out based on whether or not my kayak goes flying off down the highway on its own. ... show more
