This is short do pay attention to the specs but i knew this going in 2 negatives up fron. 1. The arm the mounts the mic is a click to position. I mean its not an up and down mount that you tighten. It swivels on one joint then you have to click into place the vertical position. This is not good long term unless you only every leave it in the same position all the time. I do not revall seeing this documented but i dont know how long it will last (not break). 2. The only thing metal (steel) is the desk mount bracket. The rest is aluminum i believe since a magnet wont attach. Pro’s 1. Short - most mis booms/arms are really long. This is meant to be mounted very close to you. This is not the same mount or quality of mount that joe rogan uses but if you watch his podcast this is lengthwise probably the same. 2. Very sturdy. The plastic bushings are thick and if infeel like they may wear i will add a little sewing machine oil to them to give some lubrication. 3. Similar to #1 is its position options because its short. Again many use long arms that sag quickly even after tightening the nuts way more than you should but this creature is awesome. On the left, right, in front of me, it has just enough length, with sturdy stiff swivel arms that i can put the mic directly in front of me while i work. The arms though are not so stiff that i cant move it away from my face/mouth while i am not on a call. ps. I work from home every since covid, 3. Mounting options. It comes with enough mounts, including an iphone and ipad mounting bracket, that i can use what every mic i own which range from condensing to dynamic. I haven't tried my Blue Yeti yet but may. I quit using it in favor of the Samson Q2U long ago because condenser mics blow unless you are in an a locked rooms, sound dampening and do t mind always playing with the gain. The dynamic mic looks a bit funny on this mount but its fine . Time will tell but since i have it positioned where i need and want it i think this is going to work out perfectly. ... show more

The product arrived with a defect, the screw to attach the arm to the base does not screw, the base has no thread to adjust the screw.

Have tried a few and this finally works. Had to modify a little with a few extensions for the mic adapter. But that’s just a personal choice. terrified build.

Packaging was great, and definitely was good quality but snapped when I tried to position it. Definitely wouldn’t recommend if you want to easily move your mic out of the way
