My wife even likes these fish and she doesn't normally like that sort of gummy. She usually likes the tart gummies, like Smart Sweets bears. We've tried a bunch of the Smart Sweets gummies, they all have their benefits and the gummy fish are a nice twist. I think they taste a little more like I recall red licorice to, but whatever it is, it's a fruity, cherry-punch like flavor that is very pleasant and has no aftertaste. I'm shocked anyone is still eating sugar nowadays. These types of candies don't bother my gut (like the older fake-sweeteners did) and they have great flavor and texture. I don't even miss "real" candy anymore, and my teeth certainly thank me, as well! ... show more

I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews due to this product no longer being keto friendly. I wanted to review this simply from a macro perspective, this review is not relevant to anyone wanting information for keto. The macros are ok. A bag of candy for 100 Cals to satisfy a sweet tooth isn’t bad. The flavor was very weird at first, it starts off almost tasteless and it takes a few seconds for the flavor to kick on, it starts to taste pretty good but then you get hit with an unpleasant after taste. I really disliked them at first but you start to get used to it as long as you don’t think of this as regular candy. This is a very pricey candy considering 6 servings is 16 dollars. Overall I think if you have the money and you are going into it aware that isn’t going to be different from regular candy I don’t think you will be super disappointed. This is a review for the 2.0 version of Smart Sweets Sweet Fish. If you get the version that contains prebiotic soluble fiber, it is this version. Otherwise, you’ll be getting the newer 3.0 version, containing Allulose, which has a worse taste and texture. Amazon currently sells the superior 2.0 version, but this eventually might be replaced by the inferior 3.0 version. I bought some of the newer version at a local store, and almost returned them they were so bad. The only reason I didn’t return them, was because of the current “no food return” policy at the store, because of what is happening in the world right now. So I went to Amazon to buy the older version. The taste of these is quite good, but the biggest complaint that I have is the quality control. I just opened up a bag of them that contained only six fish, whereas other bags in the same box contain 12 or more fish. The quality control of this company’s product is horrendous! The price is already very high, and then to have each bag possibly have less than half of the quantity that it should have? Ridiculous. ... show more
