It is possible I got a bad batch as I went for a heavily discounted purchase in the Warehouse and most of the candy is hard to get through and tough like dried out taffy. I gave it 4 stars as there are a LOT of pieces per container and if you're patient/treat them more like hard candy it'll be a better experience. These are tough to chew. If you have fillings I would be careful. Also, some packs had a bizarre amount of the powder in them which seemed like a manufacturing inconsistency. Did I finish them? Eventually, yes, but they weren't incredible. I've had better "healthy" candy.

The taste is there but they are so sticky. I threw a few in my mouth and they just stuck to my teeth. I had to pick my teeth for candy. I found my self sucking on them instead of chewing.

I’ve had these fresh from the grocery store when the sour coating is very evident and tasty, but I think it melts during the shipping process because these did not have the sour coating and just tasted like gummy watermelons..which were not bad but not what I expected.

I am a massive fan of Smart Sweets, and the watermelon are one of my favorites. That being said, I ordered a box of six, a bit ago, and every bag seemed to be filled with watermelon gummies that did not have the sour powder coating. I thought it was probably a fluke, as this has never happened before. I recently ordered a second box, and the bags I've opened are the same. No sour powder...as if these are what used to be called "seconds"...rejected candies. I'm actually all for selling seconds, and reducing waste. Just let me know that's what I'm buying, and sell them at a discount that reflects that they are not your usual quality. Thank you. ... show more

I wanted so bad to love these cause I’m obsessed with the sour patch watermelons. I thought I had found a healthier alternative but you probably burn as many calories eating them. I was chewing for what felt like days. If it hadn’t been for that they were great because the flavor was good.
