    • Latches broke right out of the box
I ordered 2 of these and they look nice but one latch on each of the hatches broke before they were even installed. Updated - smartmarine has responded to the broken latches and sent me 2 brand new hatches. They were quick to respond and I am updating my review to 5 stars.

Used it for access under dinette in my RV which access is normally sealed from factory, cut thin plywood and installed in between supports. Works well at time of review and seals off nicely and still provides access under u shaped dinette.

Update: After I wrote the review below, I contacted the seller through Amazon. The seller immediately offered to send me 2 new latches. Can't beat that, except more durable latches would be nice. I used this as a door to the power reel on my RV. One of the latches broke on our first trip. They are plastic what else should I have expected. Very disappointed. ... show more
