Remote works great. All I had to do was pop in some batteries use ( no manual sync to device needed). The price for this item was an excellent value for me,due to the fact that I just misplace my original remote and I'm sure it will be found soon. Yet, I actually like this remote better because its lighter than the original remote, it has a longer IR range than the original remote as well as my device responds quicker to this remote than the OEM remote included with purchase (hmmm, go figure). This remote does not have the volume control feature on it, but my original remote doesn't either. So for me this is NOT considered a "CON" for me . Love it!!!! PROS: * Lighter weight remote * Longer IR range than OEM *Excellent value *Great replacement for OEM * Roku device responds quicker *Overall better than the OEM remote. CONS: (in my opinion) *No HULU quick launch button ( Hulu subscriber) BUT.... Although some may list "No tv vol. control feature"as a CON in there review , for me that isn't an issue.     • Perfect. Exactly what I needed.
I received it and at first it didn’t work at all. I followed instruction from youtube, where the guy said to remove batteries first, than shake the remote vigorously up and down and side to side, than start pressing absolutely every single button, than shake again and press every single button again. Than insert batteries back and press on button and home button and check other buttons. It worked. Everything works. Explanation was, that during transportation box is shaken a lot and most likely some connections moved etc. Just need to set everything in place. All works good, just have to point it towards TV. ... show more

We inherited an old Roku from someone, but they didn’t have the remote. So we ordered this one. It actually required ZERO set up, it just worked. Odd note: there is no power button. But we just use the TV remote.

    • Works but frustrating
I'm by original remote the okay button quit working and I thought I'd go ahead and try this it works but it's frustrating have to keep moving my hand around in different areas trying to get closer to the TV just to be able to make it work. I've never had any remote that work like this before a lot of my remotes I didn't have to even aim them at the TV and they just worked this one is just very finicky and it gets frustrating trying to find the right angle just so it will work. I am going to do an update on this Because I am so frustrated about it right now. I am literally. 5 feet from the TV most of the time when I'm using this TV and my Roku. I have to keep my old remote by me which is a necessity with this remote When I sit down and watch TV, I like not to get up too much because I can't walk. I have tried to move my Roku box in many different positions because if you're not right up on that with the remote It won't do anything. And I need it because my input button doesn't work my remote control that came. With my Roku. You can have remotes in into inches above it and 95% of the time It still won't work. I am fine if it just didn't have the input for the headphones And I just found out that my voice control on my Roku doesn't work which This one doesn't have one anyways Literally tried rewinding programs. The catch what I missed if I was talking on the phone or something And if the rewind button would work at the time there's no way to stop it because it goes way past where you wanted it to be Watching it at. I might be. I'm really frustrated right now because I quit smoking a week ago and everything is getting on my nerves and I'm so mad at this remote right now I wish I could throw it at the TV, But I think that's how my first remote broke. It is so worth paying the extra money if you can find a different remote for this Roku. I wish I wasn't being so cheap that day . ... show more

Hands down without a doubt the very best remote controle ever made in the history of everything ever made infinity!!! the back battery cover came off, the batteries went in, they were held in place by an ingenious spring, the cover miraculously went back on, was worried about that part but get this.....when you point it at the device its designed for use with and press a button the devices reacts accordingly!!!! unbeleavable piece of technology!! AMAZING!!!! LOL ... show more
