This is a very simple smart watch with a lot of features. It is listed as being for 3-12 years, and I would say it is appropriate for about 3 to 7 or 8 at the most. Older than that, and kids may be embarrassed to wear it because of the many cartoons for very young kids on the face and inside. There were no wallpaper options that looked a bit more "grown-up" or even were just a simple color. However, it would be possible to take your own picture with the watch and use it as wallpaper. In addition, there are a number of other features that feel very young. That said, I loved the variety of options in this watch. They have many of the usual elements: pedometer, timer, stopwatch, alarm. It also has a tiny camera (very low-resolution) that can take selfies or even videos. It has an option for recording voice memos as well. There is an "audiobook" section that has illustrated fairytale stories, read aloud. There is also a flashcard section with basic words like the names of fruit, animals, etc. They are read aloud in a very annoying voice without great pronunciation. The games section is extensive, and they are very simple but I am sure my kids will have a lot of fun with them. The parental controls section is pretty bad; you can set times to turn on and off certain options but any kid could go on to turn it back on; I didn't see any password option. Graphics and navigation are very basic; it feels like technology from about 10-15 years ago. All in all, it isn't the greatest kids' watch, but it should do what I needed it to do, and I think my son will have fun with it. ... show more

I love that this watch comes with so many available features. It offers just enough options to keep a kid interested and hopefully satisfied that they are not constantly begging for a more expensive version. My niece plays the games all day long. She also loves the pedometer, she tries to beat her mother on steps every day. She also uses it to help her remember when her homework must be done, if she has any special events coming up and she also keeps track of everyone's birthday. She has figured all of this out on her own. (She's 8). So the watch is very kid friendly. This is a great option for a kid before they are given a phone when they get a little older. The watch is cheap enough that it isn't a huge loss if it is lost or damaged. But, it does allow the child to show maturity, and that they can be responsible. ... show more

Does everything a kid would want out of a smartwatch. It is not waterproof, so be sure to tell your child to be careful and perhaps supervise them until they understand how to be careful when washing their hands and other activities where the watch comes close to water. It charges via USB-C instead of a proprietary connection, which is a huge plus for longevity, should the cable ever go bad. You have another one lying around for sure. The media could not be loaded. I’ve got to say I was really pleasantly surprised about the quality and functionality and of course the tech of this kids smart watch! Especially for the price I didn’t expect much, but these really are very neat! They can even take pictures and video with them!
