I got this watch for my husband, and after using it for a few days we’ve found that it’s a pretty decent watch considering how much less expensive it is compared to Apple, but it leaves a bit to be desired. Right out of the package we noticed the misspelling of “battery” (spelled “beattery”) on the home screen. Typos aside, my husband immediately liked the look and feel of the watch. He works in commercial refrigeration and is extremely hard on everything he wears. After a few days of all day wear, he noted that there are absolutely no scratches on the screen and it’s very comfortable. Along with the style, durability, and comfort, he also noted that it has great battery life—going many days without needing a charge. (I do agree with the other reviews that you have to be careful when connecting it to charge as the magnets are easy to dislodge.) He also feels that Siri works better through the watch than it does for him directly through the phone. It’s convenient for making calls and he also loves the voice to text. The downsides of the watch that he noted over those days included that the volume of Siri through the watch was extremely low and couldn’t be made louder. Phone calls came through at a reasonably loud volume, but to hear Siri you have to hold the watch to your ear. He also dislikes that during a call, the watch can’t be used for anything else, as it stays locked on the call screen. You can see the time, but can do nothing else…just a bit a of an inconvenience. He also noticed that the step counter is extremely inaccurate…sometimes counting zero steps while he was walking around and sometimes increasing his step count while he was seated and driving his truck. It leads us to doubt the accuracy of the other metrics like heart rate and sleep. Overall he likes having the watch, and is so rough on his things that we didn’t really want to risk an expensive Apple Watch. Fortunately, this one works reasonably well for seeing the time and making calls and texts and he isn’t super concerned with the metrics, so it seems worth it for the price point and I’d recommend it for someone who wants a watch that performs the basics and to save a bit of money. ... show more

    • Broke after only one day!!

I was really excited about this watch and wanted to use it so bad. It worked great right out of the packaging and the app was super easy to use and navigate, it was great at the start, but I took it off for the night and left it on my nightstand, I woke up put it on and it seemed to still work, I layed in bed on my phone for some time and went to check my watch and thats when all of a suddon the screen stopped working. And before you tell me "go charge it", trust me ive done that multiple times. The audio works and the watch buzzes every time I get a notification but it just continues to stay black. I tried looking at the manual and figured out there is no way to turn this watch off unless you used the screen!! You have to go into the settings to power it off, and not even the app can shut it down for you. This was just overall super disappointing and I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, because this watch started out super nicely but broke so fast. ... show more

    • Works Well After You Download the App

I got this for my son because his school does not allow cell phones but I wanted a way to be able to text him or call him in an emergency so I like the fact that it has limited functions so the school will allow it. He was very quickly able to navigate through the watch despite never having one before and not reading the instructions. However, he couldn't understand why the time was wrong. I very quickly realized we would need to format it with an app. There is a QR code in the instruction book to download the app which we did. It was super easy to navigate and in less than a minute we had the whole thing set up. There are not a lot of watch face options available on the watch when you get it but there are additional ones in the app. My son is a big kid (6'-1" at 12 years old) and his wrists are really big so I was worried this might not fit him but he had no issues and it fit him great. We will see how long this lasts but for now it is doing the job and I have peace of mind - when he remembers to actually wear it. ... show more

    • Not the smartest smartwatch.

This arrived quickly, although it wasn't packaged well or safely, in my opinion, but it is relatively comfortable and attractive. That said, I have had several smartwatches, but I've never had one that only had five faces to choose from. I've also never had one that couldn't surf the internet or play music videos on YouTube, etc. The instructions were not good at all, and were very very hard to read. There's nothing in them really telling you how to set the time, and it seems you don't get much function from the watch unless you install an app. I've never seen a smartwatch require that with any of my former Android watches (note that I have a rather expensive watch collection). My wife tried it, and she says that, regarding the fitness functionally, it's a little bit better than her Apple watch where the steps functions and the like are concerned, but that's not really my bag - I was expecting internet functionality.* Even so I boosted it up a star for that. If all you're looking for is a basic watch with fitness functionality, this might be the way to go for you. *Doubly so considering the cost of this thing. ... show more
