Bought the sample piece, which is just cut from the larger size. I rent an older house that's freezing in the winter. I want to put this in the back bedroom to help with the cold. I peeled the sample back up and it does leave a residue. Nothing that didn't scrape off with my fingernail though. And that was to laminate flooring. I didn't see that the color was brighter then i thought it would be so i didn't actually use it on my apartment floor since it didn't match. i completely forgot to send it back due to all the moving and packing and stuff being everywhere.

I bought this because a small spot of carpet began to come undone and left a little bald spot in the carpet. I bought this piece of carpet to help temporarily patch that spot. Buying this square of carpet and cutting it to size was a life saver!
