I bought these lights for my kitchen and family room. 1x 4 pack of 6in and 2 x 4 pack of 4in. They were fairly easy to set up, but the app can be a little confusing and not user friendly to group lights. The colors are great and it has a feature to strobe lights based on the music playing. About one year later, one light from each set will flicker. It's quite annoying. Resetting the light does not fix the problem. The flickering does not occur in color mode. I reached out to eh company and did not get a response directly. I did receive an email about a replacement campaign that is occurring so I hope the new products do not have these issues. I also hope for an update to the UI of the app. A little pricey based on longevity. If the flicker problem and app update are fixed, then it has great potential. EDIT: The company contacted me for a replacement program. Although the products seems possibly refurbished. It works great. If things change, I will update this post. They were able to replace all affected products. ... show more

    • Easy to install, works awesome
The media could not be loaded. I’m not electrician, and never had done anything electrical at my house but changing bulbs haha, so i was nervous to mess this up or get shocked, i just turn off the breaker and started ti work, it came with a box with 3 cables, and the orange things that you just twist to connect them, black goes with black, white with white and green to green, pretty straight forward, it was easy, i install 4 of them in like an hour but because i had to make the holes bigger, pretty easy to instal and to set them up, i connect them to alexa and works great!! Good ilumination and variety of colors and shades. I always wanted the philips hue ambientations to sync them to my tv and house, but this works really good if like me, didn’t want to spend a lot of money. ... show more

    • 2 year review - disappointing
I purchased these in October 2021 ( just over two years ago). They were great the first six months. I then started to notice one by one the lights would go back to flashing lights indicating the wifi settings are jacked up. I would have to open the app and Re-add them to the wifi. This was a common occurrence in our home. Then we started to see lights flickering in random spots. The only fix was to change the light to a warmer level. Now I have lights constantly disconnecting from wifi. I have no issues with any other devices in my house connecting to wifi. If you have children in your house, get ready to the random resets when the turn off and on the lights too quickly. This causes the lights to reset too. I am already looking for another company to replace all my lights. To many issues after only two years. Not worth the money I spent. ... show more

I gave a 3 on the easy to install mainly due to the wifi connection and power loss as I explain-- The good-- the lights are nice and the app provides a lot of different functionality. You can set up scenes - rotate through different colors or set up on a timer- IE come on at 9pm and shut off at 6am. I linked the app to my google app and can control them all. You can set up different zones or areas or control them all individually if you want to. You can personally name each device as well. IE on my walkway, i named them Walkway 1, Walkway 2, etc this way if one does not turn on, I can tell by just looking at my app. They are bright too. In my pics, the walkway is blue at 100% and 7 1/2 feet apart, patio red lights are 8ft at 100%. I bought 30 lights and them installed under my eve's around the house. they are NOT damp rated or come with a foam gasket, but going through some Florida rain storms, they haven't got wet yet nor has the higher summer temp affected them as of yet. I got a little crazy with the electrical hook up and have them on two circuits. I had an electrician wire in an additional switch at the front door which powers 25 lights (front and sides) and another switch in the back which powers the 5 patio lights. I installed switch guards on them to prevent any accidental turning off the power. I have Century Link a fiber cable run which only the 5g was enabled in it. I couldn't initially connect the lights because of the 5g -- its does need the 2G. I had to go into my modem settings and set up the 2g, after that, I got some spare electrical wire and wire nuts and connected each one to an outlet inside and connected to the app--- Please do not do this if you are not familiar. Have an electrician help. There are other options to connect via the app to include bluetooth, but I didn't have luck with them. Even after that when the lights were installed in the soffits/eve's a connection was lost and I had an extremely difficult time reconnecting to wifi outside the house. Let me add, you only need the 2G to connect.. once its connected you can operate off the 5G. If you have wifi extenders or mesh inside, make sure you place them accordingly or think about installing one or two outside if possible and depending on how many lights compared to location your installing. Although I run a mesh network, the signal needed outside had problems. the app does allow to "remove the device" and then Add Device but if that doesn't work, you need to unplug the light from its connection box until it blinks to Add the Device again. Worse case scenario, totally remove the light and take back inside to connect. In a 2 week span I didn't have a switch guard installed at the time therefore, people would cycle the switch (On-off-on-off) which in turn resets the light circuit and in many cases I had to reconnect each one individually. To overcome this, I bought a Wifi Extender and with an extension cord, i went around to each area and was able to connect each light much quicker. With that said--- I am happy with the look and function of them--- a big HOWEVER --- I don't know what to expect when there an actual city power loss and it flickers or comes back. I haven't experienced that yet and i'm hoping i don't have to reconnect them all again. The lights do remember the last setting.. so if you have them set on red and tell your app to turn off, then tell it to come back on, the lights will be red. I'm going to have to them another 6 months of operating and playing around to see if the money spent was worth it.. So biggest Downfall-- reconnection to wifi and do not put on a power source that people will also use !!! Whatever circuit you use , that has to stay on. The lights are always connected to wifi and you may to reset them again. Strongly recommend connecting to wifi first and naming them and also make sure your dual or tri band wifi extenders are strategically placed. Updated: 23Aug2022... as I mentioned, I was worried about city power loss and it happened. During a thunder storm there was a power surge, the community lights flickered on and off. after the storm, i went and used my google to turn on the lights.. out of the 30 outside lights, 5 of them did not turn on and were disconnected from the WIFI.. i had to actually go to each one individually and disconnect the plug in order to reset them and connect to wifi again. So be cautious on where you place them and ease to get to get to! ... show more
