Easy assembly. I over-tightened the screws. Note to others: you don't have to get the screws much tighter than flush with the metal. Dimple the metal and you might crack the plastic "bolts" that the screws tighten into. Once the screws contact the metal slow down! I use this over my walking pad. It's stable enough for me to occasionally balance myself without knocking my water tumbler or laptop over (risky I know). I don't use it at its tallest height though. I am searching for a clamp-on bottle holder because I trust me less than this desk. All in all it does everything I want: over the walking pad desk, standing desk, traditional desk. All with ample room for writing and a laptop. The phone/tablet slot is a nice addition that I didn't expect to use but actually fits my uncased Galaxy whatever it's called at a great angle for watching videos while walking. I really do love the look of this desk. The instructions were clear enough but the boards weren't labeled to match the instructions. I managed to look up the picture of the desk on Amazon and figured out which board goes where. However, the screws tore up the laminated wood something fierce and there was a strip on the side of the desk already coming unglued. The desk sits extremely high when lowered all the way down. I couldn't raise my office chair enough to make it work. I'm six feet tall so it should have worked. I took the rolling wheels off the bottom to see if it lowered the desk enough to use my laptop on but my fore arms still hit the front side of the desk. I'm to busy and tired to take it apart and ship it back so I'm going to try to make it work as a standing desk. I really did want to love this desk. ... show more
