We ordered it for a trip where rain was expected-- but when we went to open it, it would not open. Totally defective. Wish I would have bought a different, more reliable umbrella! Saving money by buying a cheaper one meant someone (me) got very, very wet on our vacation.

I guess you can't expect much in the way of sturdiness from an umbrella that is this light and folds up this small but if you are in anything but the lightest of rains and no wind, choose something else. Its a great size for travel but a heavy rain or a bit of wind and it's all over.

Not sure I would use this as my everyday umbrella, but definitely good as an emergency one. It really is lightweight (as the description states) and will do well with sun protection. Material is NOT like regular umbrellas as it is not meant for rain. It feels a lot more like a thin plastic. I appreciate the little storage bag, but it’s a little tough to put back on after being opened up. ... show more
