I did a garage room conversion, and decided to replace the old style fluorescent "shop lights" with these. Boy, am I glad I did! Lots of even light all over the room, and so much more room-like, rather than garage-like! I'm thinking of putting some more in a dining area, removing the old chandelier.

*Update* I will be returning these lights, I noticed how bright they were when I installed them. It wasn’t until it was dark I realized why, the are more white/blue than the 5000k bulbs I have in the rest of the house. They make my 5000k lights look yellow and I didn’t see it until it was dark and the lights overlapped. These are more 6000k+ than 5000k so they will be going back. Otherwise the review stands.* The lights are not perfectly flush which I saw in the pictures and I like it, the concave white backer give the light a nice look on the ceiling and the black ring really adds some contrast. Giving a very modern look. Installation is very straight forward and simple. My only complaint if you want to call it one is that the lights come with the crappy wire nuts but, the mount has built in holders for 2-wire WAGO connectors. If you do home wiring I highly recommend switching to WAGO connectors! The complaint I have is that the holders only work for 2-wire WAGO connectors and I wish they were bigger to accommodate the 3-wire connectors as well. Also I wish they included the WAGO connectors instead of the wire nuts but I know the wires nuts are cheaper. Overall love the lights and I recommend them. Time will tell how long they last, one other negative is that you have to change the whole light if they go out, with that in mind I bough 2 spares just in case, even though leds are supposed to last a lifetime. ... show more
