  • It pulls!! 👍🏼
Size: B3
Great for basic learning. For adults. Be careful during string winds and do follow guidelines 😀 I wish there were no extra things sticking out, so it’s not that easy to get tangled

  • Caution: kite will bring way too much joy
Size: B3
Go from hating a windy day, to hoping for windy days. This thing is epic! The leash and flag out feature that come with it work amazingly in emergency situations(I’ve had a few). I use mine to “Kite board” down the beach with a dirt board and it’s insane. GET ONE

  • A fun kite to fly and exceeded my expectations
Size: B3
I bought this as a first step to learning to kiteboard. I had previously taken a 1 hour lesson with a smaller kite (just on land) and found it incredibly stressful to fly. I knew then that it was going to take me a number of hours flying a training kite before I would be ready for the real one, I was guessing anywhere from 10 to 20 hours. The thing came with no instructions at all, and I would have to say the only thing needing instruction was how to attach the safety leash but with some thought I figured that one out and then a bit later even found a youtube video where that was shown. OK, first flight was scary, I knew it would be, especially when the kite was at 12, directly over my head. But the kite was easily controllable, and surprisingly easy to launch. I watched videos on youtube to see what I should practice and those maneuvers were easy to mimic with this kite. I've now gone and flown it about an hour a day for 5 days and I'm now very comfortable with it, I can do figure 8s with it, can loop it and hold it at various places in the wind window. That happened faster for me than I initially thought it would. A few thoughts. Not sure now that having kite this large is better than say a 1m2 kite, but happy to learn how to stand to properly resist the very strong pull it can produce when whipping it around in the power zone.. Probably not appropriate for someone weighing less than 140 lbs who is a beginner. This thing can easily produce extreme power in a gust and catch you off guard. If you are small, buy a smaller kite, perhaps a B2 or even smaller. It is so easy to launch that all I do is lay it upside down on the ground, wait for a gust and give the bar a pull and up it goes, on days with higher wind a couple of water bottles are used to hold the trailing edge down (which is the upwind edge when it is flipped upside down), and they just slide off when I pull the bar to launch. ... show more

  • SO MUCH FUN!! MUST HAVE, EASY TO LEARN
Size: B2
This kite is so much fun. First try I took it to the park with weak swirling winds and it did not work at all. My walk back home with my head down after buying a 120$ kite that I couldnt get to fly was a walk of shame. I watched a YouTube video (should have done that first) and it showed me what I was doing wrong. First of all was trying to fly it in weak inconsistent directional wind. Took this to the beach this weekend and had a blast! Easy to start so fun to fly you can feel the power yet it is not intimidating. Lines do not get tangled on the kite itself and this thing is very durable! I let my wife and kids fly it I was so confident in its ability to take a crash without any damage. I was strafing our sun shade and took it out without any damage. I love how ready it is to fly . No strings to tie or length to measure just unroll and fly, roll back up and it easily fits back in the bag. You can take multiple sessions and breaks without getting tired of getting it in the air. (Iwould put it away and then want to fly it 5 mins later) In really high wind this thing flys as responsive as a humming bird. MUST HAVE EVEN IF YOU HAVE NO PLANS TO KITE BOARD. ... show more

  • The real deal 😳
Size: B3
This thing is no joke. Almost drug me across the field lol. First time flyer here and this was my first of these types of kites. Im 35, 5”7’ & 140lbs. I got the hang of it but it wore me out in about 2 hours. Only crashed once. It took most of my weight and strength to not face plant in about 15mph winds. Watch instructional videos. consider getting the b2 or lower if this is your first time. That said, i am obsessed. This was the most fun ive had in a long time. This thing id durable as they come and easy to set up and use. Soo happy with this purchase!! ... show more

  • Good for some of the basics.
Size: B2
I am using this kite before and now with Kiteboard lessons to refresh some of the basics of kite control. Yes I think a four line kite might be better but as an early beginner it seems helpful. I had it out yesterday in 15 to 18 knots and it was a lot of fun. A little difficult for me to launch by myself, but with a helper it is fine. Once airborne it is responsive and simple to fly. Just be mindful of people walking by and bring the kite up to 12 o’clock and wait for them to pass. Then go back to your kite loops, power dives and figure eights. Wear sun block, as you will be out there at least that long ;-) ... show more

  • A Must Have for Beginners; Buyer Notes
Size: B2
This is an excellent precursor to kiteboarding. Lessons usually last 2-3 days, and the first day consists of using this trainer kite (or similar). Since you don't want to waste the first day of your ~$500 lessons on this trainer you should buy this for practice before committing to a class. You can continue to use this forever for fun, further practice (important for learning how to jump) or, even better, teaching a friend the basics. Some notes to beginner kiteboarders: If you have taken the lessons and want to invest more money into the sport consider this. Any kite you find used/outdated online will say "great for beginners," this is a lie most of the time and the person selling it can't use it due to lack of lessons or didn't know what they were buying in the first place. To avoid wasted cash try to buy locally, this has many advantages. Up to date technology has the greatest safety features (depowering and emergency releases) and a merchant will teach you about your kite after your purchase. Usually if you buy from the same shop that offered lessons you can get a discount. This is not a sport that you can just go out, buy the gear, rig up and be a pro. You NEED lessons and to educate yourself about your purchase before going through with it. This trainer kite (or similar) is the first step to the learning process. ... show more
