At first, I loved this mattress, I really did. It was just the right firmness, breathed well and was overall very comfy. As our first foam mattress, we were happy. I especially liked how it absorbed motion, so getting up or moving in the night doesn't disturb your bed buddy. When it arrived, it was nicely packaged and easy to bring in the house. We opened it up, and it slowly inflated to full size. We didn't even experience any significant off gassing or odors after just a few minutes. So why am I unhappy? We've had this less than five years, and it has lost all it's support. It's gone from just right, to super squishy, causing all sorts of back pain for me. When you get on it, you feel the deep depression that has formed to your body, and you drop right in. We've rotated it, even going so far as to sleep on the backside (bottom) of the mattress. Nothing helps. There is one spot left that is bearable, which is right in the middle of the bed where neither of us sleep, which isn't a feasible solution. So I contacted the company, as it claims to be under warranty. They told me that it had to have a 1-inch deflection on the surface to be considered defective. I was told to lay a broom across the bed, and use a ruler to show the low spot. Unfortunately, it bounces back enough with no weight on it, so you can't show a deflection. But once you put your weight on it, it simply no longer supports. The company has not offered any help or relief. In short, I'm disappointed in the longevity of the mattress, and the support of the company. The warranty is a scam and of no value. Take your business to a more reputable company if you want a mattress that will last more then a few years. ... show more

    • Our couch slept better. Mattress degrades over time and causes aches and pains

When we first purchased the mattress about 3 years ago it was a little firm but we slept ok. In the past year we both started developing back aches and hip pain. I even made a trip to the chiropractor. We blamed the aches/pains on getting a little older and did not think about the possibility of the mattress causing issues. I was watching a movie on our couch one night and fell asleep. I awoke in the morning and felt refreshed and had no back or hip pain. That was the realization that we had a mattress problem. I continued sleeping on the couch for a couple nights and had no pain. We purchased a conventional mattress and have slept wonderfully and we are not experiencing the aches and pains any longer. Please read the other 1 star reviews about this mattress if you are thinking about puchasing it. There is definitely a trend with similar issues that we experienced. ... show more

Update: This lasted just shy of 3 yrs. Looking for a new memory foam mattress. This one finally failed. The support is gone. Starts out fine ,but like any other mattress my hips and shoulders are in pain when I wake. The hubby complains too. There is the dreaded hump forming in the middle. So this is an honest update. We basically are laying on the density foam within an hour of falling asleep. HARD on joints. So beware long term. Most of these reviews are for the first few months, but I felt like doing an update on someone who has slept in this for a few years. Disappointed, thought it would last longer. ... show more

    • Can't say enough good things about this bed!

There was 1 thing that was less than perfect, some of the decorative stitching on the top of the mattress was coming out. Not much, about 3 inches - doesn't bother me. You always hear about the "adjustment period" for a new bed... it took me 10 minutes. Oder was next to nothing, I had to put my nose about an inch from the bed to smell anything and even then it was very faint, it smelled new, not bad. Bed was easy to set up, might be more challenging for a smaller person. Currently been sleeping on it for a week. I am 39yo 6'3" 240lb male. I also use a cpap, and am a side/back sleeper. For the past few years I have had terrible pain in my back, hips, and shoulders - almost every morning. Sometimes I would wake up in the middle of the night from pain. I got the bed set up, let it expand for about 2 hours and then hopped on it to try it out, the first thing I thought to myself was "crap, this thing is way to firm". I then accidentally fell asleep in less than 10 minutes and woke up about 2 hours later. It was at that point I realized this bed is amazing. I had zero pain and actually felt like a million bucks from a 2 hour nap. If I would have laid on this bed in a store I never would have purchased it. I am glad I went by reviews of people instead a showroom test. The first night was uneventful, it was the next morning that was different. No pain, no stiffness, in fact there was no anything. I can not remember the last time I was able to get out of bed without hurting. My girlfriend used to help by giving me massages in the morning. Today she told me all the knots in my back, hips, and shoulders are gone, she can't find a single one. I absolutely recommend this bed. I was seriously about to fork over $5-6k for Tempur-Pedic but I was also doing a lot of online research (I also highly recommend " sleeplikethedead.com " to figure out what brand/type of mattress you want/need) and found this brand. I don't know how long this bed is supposed to last, but for the price it is offered at I would gladly get a new one every year if needed. Everyone's situation is different, but if all your research brings this mattress in to your consideration for purchase - get this one. You will be hard pressed to find a better mattress for this price anywhere else. This mattress is the definition of value. ... show more
