I endeavored to take an old school desk and make drawers for the cubby baskets and replace the top with a fine hardwood/epoxy pour. Well, Thankfully I purchased this slab jig because not only did I have to use it once. I had to use it a second time when the epoxy cracked and I had to level the piece and pour to fill the cracks. Super Easy to put together! I was surfacing this walnut slab in 45 minutes. I wish the base plate fit my router though, I had to improvise. The base rollers work great on flat/square surfaces. Adjustments are simple and this sled hands down beats spending several hours putting together the tracks and frame on my larger sled. I’ll try this sled system on a oak slab 8’ long by 52” wide next. ... show more

Made Planing slabs 10000x easier. It shipped in 2 containers. Fedex delivered one, but nothing was noted on Amazon or the package that there was a 2nd package coming. I called the company, and the lady who answered the phone was super fun to talk to and helpful. She got me the tracking number and it showed the next day. Awesome Service! Great Product! I'm really glad I bought this jig. Yes, it was a bit expensive but not really so when I compared it to other slab jigs on the market. Less than half the price of others and this one does everything I need. It was easy to assemble and is easy to use. My only complaint is that I tend to lean into larger projects which has caused the jig to bend ever so slightly in the middle. Still, I'm really glad I bought this jig. ... show more

    • makes a difficult job become easy.
Very smooth and accurate. It kept the router height perfectly over the surface and rolled to the next spot easily. You do need to keep the shavings off the surface the the rollers are on or they may pile up and cause the jig to ride up a fraction of and inch higher than you target height. ( use a horse hair brush or compressed air to clear shavings before rolling to new spot solves that problem). I would buy it again for sure. ... show more

The sled does the job. However, you cannot use dust collector so if u are doing it in a small shop or a garage it will make a huge mess. Especially if you’re flatting epoxy and wood. Second, it’s OVERPRICED. Worth 100-150 TOP.
