  • Needs more warnings,
So I've always been a very careful man. I put ice in hot coffee, drive 10 mph under the speed limit, pepper spray any sales people that come too close to my house, ect. So when my boss called me up and told me I'd been promoted, well, I had to use my emergence pair of pants for the rest of the day. The promotion meant I'd have to work out of the corner office on the top floor of out 82 story building. I begged my coworkers to trade offices with me, but they all said the same thing, "You have to be kidding!" I've never been one to assert my position so I would just laugh awkwardly. "ya, haha, just a joke" I would murmur as I sulked back to my office of death. The next few days I worked in total dread. I had called 911 a total of 11 times in half as many days. Twice for some rather extremist-looking window washers (I had heard that one read the koran once), three times for a man barging into my office and stealing the contents of the trashcan, and 7 times when various planes nearly crashed into the building (who builds an airport next to an office building?) Needless to say I was welcoming the weekend. As I perused amazon for various bandages, emergency flashlights, and microwave dinners, I came across this product. A sign if I ever saw one. I ordered 12 for next day shipping. They arrived just as I was leaving for work. Perfect. Just as I walked out of the elevator my coworker approached me. No doubt seeking revenge for my trying to pass off the corner office to him. I ran into my office and locked the door. Having heard stories of the brutality of this particular fellow (he had beat up some poor chap by the name of 'Rugby' last week) I knew I had mere moments to flea. I strapped on my skysaver 260 and flung myself against the northmost window. It was not very effective. Thinking fast, I reached for my 'Participant' trophy from the 1985 springfield easter egg hunt and hurl it at the window. Glass falls everywhere and I hurl myself out. Now, this produce is very aesthetically pleasing and subtle. The shipping was fast and it was very comfortable to wear. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is that, for some reason, there is no large sticker warning the user to attach the cable to an anchor before using. That would be a deal breaker but not for the fact that I am the first ghost ever to write an Amazon review and I'd hate to be too negative on such a momentous day. ... show more

  • Skysaver...Try Marriage Saver!
So there I was engaged in some adult activities w/ my boss's secretary when her husband came home early from a business trip. We were shocked. We knew we had exactly 1 minute & 17 seconds before he would be at the bedroom door. I jumped out of bed, found my pants dangling from the ceiling fan, and quickly redressed. That's when panic set in. I couldn't leave the conventional way through the front door like a respectable adulterer. This was serious. Candi quickly remembered the SkySaver 260 that was stored under her bed! It's odd that she owned one because she lives in a ranch-style house, but sure enough, there it was. I threw the backpack on, secured the straps and jumped out the bedroom window. A half a second later, I was on the ground running to freedom. The next day I called Candi and asked her how everything went with her husband. She said a few seconds after I lept out the window, her husband walked into the bedroom. He saw the cable hooked up to the ceiling and wanted to know why the SkySaver 260 system had been deployed. She quickly came up with a story about teaching their 4-year-old son the ins and outs of bungee jumping and he totally bought it! Thank you, SkySaver 260, for helping to save her marriage! ... show more

  • What a great product.
The sky saver is pretty cool for a safety device. Unfortunately It is meant to be a "single use device". The device is "professionally wound" so that it works the correct way every time. We did figure out that it can be manually wound if necessary. We were using this device to sneak out of the office and visit the street vendors then using the service elevator to come back into the building. It is also kind of hard to hide two hundred and sixty feet of unwound cable when entering an office building. Another thing to concern yourself with is the anchor. The anchor has to be drilled into the wall and can take a few times to get correct if not done by a professional. In a pinch some paper pulp and elmers glue make a sweet wall patch to hide the holes, and my co worker john is a wiz with mixing broken crayola markers to match paint colors. Over all I give it 5 stars! ... show more
