  • Solid, sturdy, but not Excessive
Size: GripCase SD ONLY [No carrying case] Color: GripCase SD Only-Galactic Purple
I love this case, the purple is fun. The grip is a good size for even slightly smaller hands and the texture adds just enough without being painful. The case doesn't feel cheap. I love that you can stand the deck up without anything additional with this case. Also, the MoKo 180 Degree USB C adapter with the 13.5mm gap works fantastic with this case to plug in your Deck using the original Valve charger. ... show more

  • Great product

Fits the steam deck PERFECTLY! Easy to install and remove. Only complaint is that it adds a little more weight than expected.

  • Great case
Size: GripCase SD ONLY [No carrying case] Color: GripCase SD Only-Black
I’ve had multiple skull and co thumb grips from Xbox controllers and switch controllers. I was hesitant on buying any kind of case for the steam deck because I was afraid of it being too bulky. I ended up loving the case. It feels very solid in hand. The material feels dense and not too rubbery. It’s soft and easy to put yet it doesn’t feel like the cheap silicone that you would get at this price. My favorite feature though, is the flat bottom that acts as a stand. No need for extra moving parts. Very underrated feature. With the case on, it does fit a little tight into the official steam deck case. Love the company, love the case. Highly recommended ... show more

  • Perfect!
Size: GripCase SD ONLY [No carrying case] Color: GripCase SD Only-Black
I love the Deck but I find its surface a bit rough and it causes my hands to get sweaty after long play sessions. This fixes that and adds a really nice texture to it. It also of course protects it from scratches and some drops. Its effect on overall ergonomics isn’t massive, but the Steam Deck already excels at that anyway and this allows it to fit in the official case (it’s a tight fit but you can definitely make it work). It’s very easy to put on and take off, can be done with little effort but it still feels secure. You can’t use it with the official but that’s where another bonus feature comes in: you can stand it up. No kickstand or anything, just put it down straight and it’ll stay upright. This is obviously just useful in general but it gets around the dock issue because you can just stand the Deck up in front of the dock and then plug it in. Awesome product! ... show more

  • Great grips, better comfort.
Size: GripCase SD ONLY [No carrying case] Color: GripCase SD Only-Coyote Gray
I like the extra feature to stand up system without kickstand. You can feel the quality on this product. I always prefer a more simple design like this to enhance a product. Great comfortable grips, some drop support and it stands up. I prefer this over the other bulky or over engineered protective cases that I have owned. Fits perfect and snug on Steam Deck with proper cutouts and nothing in the way of bumpers and triggers. ... show more

  • Solid and affordable grip case with some room for improvement
Size: GripCase SD ONLY [No carrying case] Color: GripCase SD Only-Black
Quick pros and cons from a few hours of gameplay: ++The flat, angled bottom acts as a simple stand that works very well on flat, hard surfaces. I do a lot of tinkering while at my PC, so being able to just set the Deck down without to fiddle around is nice! ++I have small hands, but the case's grips and form factor aren't too bulky. I can comfortably reach all the buttons, and I haven't noticed any areas where the case pinches or catches my fingers. ++The textured grippiness of handles is also comfortable ++The Deck still fits into my generic metal USB dock, though it does sit almost vertically in the slot. ++The case is easy to apply and remove ~~For as nice as the "stand" is, it won't work on a couch or a cushion. The base just isn't wide enough. ~~The volume buttons are functional but stiffer than I would like ~~The ease of removal also means that the fit isn't perfect. There's a barely perceptible amount of extra room, where the Deck can shift slightly inside the case. It's not enough for the Deck to fall out, but I can feel the tiniest bit of movement. ~~If you tend to press the back L4/R4/etc. buttons by pushing up towards the screen (as opposed to "outwards" into the grips), your fingers may run up against the beveled edge of the cutouts. They're not sharp or anything, just "in the way". --With this grip attached, I DO NOT feel comfortable putting the Steam Deck in its original case. The amount of force needed to close the lid over the unit is more than what I would deem reasonable, and while I'm not positive that closing the case is going to damage the Deck, I'm not about to try it and find out. ... show more

  • An excellent case with a *major* design flaw. 2/24 UPDATE: They FIXED It!! 2 Stars > 5 Stars!
Size: GripCase SD ONLY [No carrying case] Color: GripCase SD Only-Black
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE February 2024: After contacting Skull & Co. about this issue, they pulled through with an updated design that no longer has this issue. The internal flap now cuts back so that the corner of it is no longer pushing against the power button! The interior is now also a slightly lighter gray. Thanks to Skull & Co. for responding to the feedback, the one major flaw with this design has been fixed. My original old review: Skull & Co has designed an absolutely terrific case that I probably won't end up using. I bought this case mainly because it would fit my Steam Deck without having to take off the Skull & Co GripCase. Plus, it has some built-in storage and is thinner overall than the stock case that comes with the Steam Deck. Unfortunately, this case keeps powering on my Steam Deck while it's in the case. This happens without the GripCase on the Steam Deck, and happens even more when it is on. I think this is due to the fact that the hem on the corner of the storage flap perfectly lines up with the Steam Deck power button, putting a little bit of pressure on it. All it takes is gently handling the case to give it just enough additional pressure (barely any!) to press the power button and turn on the Deck inside. I really wanted to love this case. I prefer it hands-down to the Valve case. Unfortunately, I can't say that I want to keep it. I've seen how easily it makes the Deck power on while it's zipped up, and I really don't want it to bake my Steam Deck by continuously power cycling it while I'm not using it. Skull & Co. have a great case here; unfortunately, I think they need to address this issue by shortening the width of the flap or by removing it altogether. Until then, I won't be traveling with this otherwise fantastic case! While I was typing this, my hand bumped the case on my desk, and I heard the Steam Deck power on inside. :| So close. ... show more
