I have been dealing with an adult breakout for the better part of a year. I was SO over it. I decided to revamp my entire routine, and part of that revamp was purchasing this spray. My skin has completely healed itself and I am so relieved. At first, I was just spraying this on and letting it air dry as mentioned in the directions. However, after a few weeks, I decided to apply it to a cotton round, and swipe my face similar to a toner and it was game changing. I use it twice a day - in the morning after cleansing before any other products, and at night after cleansing before bed. I apply a generous amount to the pad and swipe away. If I do have a breakout, I start there, and then get a new pad and finish my face although that's probably not required. The reason why this smells like chlorine/bleach is because it's a derivative of that, but not the same chemically structured; don't PANIC. It's completely safe. If you have ever seen commercials for "Force of N@ture" spray cleaner,? It's effectively identical. Simple changes to the structures of chemical compounds make wildly different end ingredients. Hypochlorous Acid lives within you; it’s the substance your white blood cells that are created to fight bacterial infections. It’s also the active ingredient in electrolyzed water. Electrolyzed water is made when electricity is used to change the chemical structure of salt, water & vinegar into a disinfectant as effective as bleach, but with no harmful chemicals, fumes, or residues. This is so safe it can be used on babies, and food grade surfaces, however, it would be expensive to use as such. The more I researched about these ingredients, the more I loved it and I found out that it's FDA approved to use in medical facilities, surgeries, and hospitals. It's completely safe and extremely effective. It also kills mold, so antifungal in addition to anti microbial and anti-bacterial. As with nearly anything in life, some people may be sensitive or react if they have an allergy. For me, even using this on open wounds has been completely painless. I've been using the SkinSmart Facial Cleanser Hypochlorous Acid Spray for acne for a couple weeks now, and it's become a staple in my skincare routine. The product is incredibly simple to use—just spray it directly onto your skin - it feels refreshing without leaving any residue. Smells a little like bleach/chlorine, but I actually like the clean smell. Make sure to wash your face before using!! One of the standout features is that it uses hypochlorous acid, which targets acne-causing bacteria without the harshness of more traditional treatments like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. I have super sensitive skin, and this cleanser has been a game changer because it doesn't cause any irritation, dryness, or redness, which I’ve experienced with other acne treatments. I also have HS and I've read that hypochlorous acid spray can help with reducing bacteria and flare ups. I spray it on my armpits and between my thighs. In terms of results, I haven't noticed a tremendous difference yet (it's only been 2 weeks since, so I might need to continue using it for a couple more weeks?) My face does feel cleaner after spraying it. I also appreciate that it’s fragrance-free and non-toxic, which makes it feel safe to use regularly. The only minor downside is that you might need to combine it with other products to see the best results, such as a good moisturizer and sunscreen, as it’s more of a targeted treatment than a complete skincare solution. However, as an acne-fighting spray, I can tell that it's killing the bad bacteria. This has been great for my skin! I have super sensitive skin and this helps me keep the bacteria away after the gym or as a refresher! It does smell like a swimming pool so if you can’t do smells you won’t like this. It does away once it dries down.

I got this as a cheaper option to the tower 28 recovery spray. While it probably works the same, the feel and smell is vastly different, if it gets on the lips I can smell the salt which I don't get from the tower 28 at all. Tower spays on thinner and smoother.
