Based on the reviews, I purchased these for my two 4 yos and 7 yo granddaughters. With a little direction and some assistance, the 4 yos were able to do it themselves. The 7 yo had no problem figuring it out after I told her how to do it. There was so much variety packed into this box, 2 kids were able to share one without fighting over the scene cards, stickers, and foil. I would recommend doing it on a dining table, or an area where there is room to spread out, especially if you have a couple of kids doing this activity together. We brought it w us on a trip and ended up laying it out on the bed in our hotel, and it got a little messy. The stickers themselves were okay; we had to rub the foil on well for it to cover the exposed surface area completely, but it definitely wasn’t a deal breaker! This set is well worth the money and is a must-have! I first bought the dress up set for my 5 year old daughter who's really into crafting. My 8 year old son asked for a set for himself after seeing hers. So I bought him the dinosaur one. Their sets have kept them both busy for hours! They LOVE them! The adhesive is strong and durable, but the smell isn't overpowering to me and it doesn't bother us personally. They're both able to work on these independently with no help. I gave them toothpicks to use to lift the tops of the stickers off by themselves and it's helped them a lot, especially with the smaller pieces. The contents are all made well and there's plenty of stickers and foil to choose from. For the dress up set, they labeled the sticker sheets and backgrounds so you can match up what stickers go to what background. I included photos of all the sticker sheets and backgrounds from this set. I highly recommend Foil Fun and plan on buying more themes in the future! Such a great and fun product :) ... show more

This was a fun activity to do with my 4 and 6 year old granddaughters. They enjoyed the concept of creating scenes in a way other than with crayons or markers. They especially enjoyed the glittering foil effects. The larger pieces were a bit of a challenge leading to some frustration as the pieces split smaller parts when removing the backing. We did work through that but there were some tense moments over this struggle. I would choose this activity again, just approaching the bigger pieces with cautious care. ... show more

I purchased the unicorns & princesses version of this foil art & I was extremely happy with my purchase! Thank goodness I brought this to Kaanapali, Maui on my vacation last week with my 5 year old niece. Due to the chaos/fires/power outages there we had no power the last few days & had no idea if we would ever get out of there. This box of fun was a lifesaver for entertaining myself & my 5-year old niece while there without power (& terrified what was going to happen next-evacuate etc). Both my niece & I were beyond excited when we saw how beautiful the art turned out, as well as how easy it was to do. I was worried that it required more effort than it did. Thought it would take trimming of the foil or something, but it really is simple. Just remove the sticker pieces one by one, or many at once if the same color is desired, then press the foil paper on it & that is it! The only thing that I believe can be improved upon is some way to cover the finished product. They get stuck to each other once done & then the color fades with each finger or page smoosh. If there was maybe somehow a layer of clear sticker that could be set on top of the entire sticker object once finished then I would be beyond excited. I currently am trying to figure out a way to MacGyver it myself ha. I’ll be purchasing the animals &/or space version of it today for my friends son though, I think he will love it too. Highly recommend this for a wide range of ages. The stickers can be simple & easy for the younger ones, or they can do a more detailed version by coloring every tiny section differently. I kept myself (an adult) busy for a good few hours with it when I was alone with nothing to do ha. I was happy with my finished product. So it is also fun for adults fyi, especially ones that aren’t great at drawing or painting like myself, but enjoy creative beautiful things. :) ... show more

I bought these as a gift for cousins aged 7, 11 & 12 so they would have some fun things to work on while they were visiting from Germany. I had never heard of these before, but I have to say it was a hit. They worked on them together, and alone, and finished the last few after they got home & sent me a picture. They were enjoyed so much that I bought another set as a gift for another family with 4 children. My 6yo daughter loves this one. Her favorite. She spent so much time on it. However it smells so bad, like something toxic. My daughter said she didnt smell it but everytime she opens the box i smell it. I dont think i would buy it again although we really like the activity

We brought this activity for a family vacation. Our daughter loved it, kept her busy and mess free. The pictures were shiny and cute. Easy to use, no sticky residue. She loved it! Something different from the typical coloring book and crayons, but still creative and fun.
