Socks kept me warm during my trip to Alaska. I wore them solo, with snow boots, and with sneakers, in snow and rain. Sock dried out quickly when taken off. Socks were extremely tight at the top of the cuff. I have neuropathy so maybe swelling of my legs might have something to do with it but I thought these sock should have helped with that sort of thing. Overall I would recommend these to someone with an average calve size, if you have beefy ones like myself you will find the cuff cutting off the circulation a little bit. ... show more

These socks worked far better than I expected. I have always had issues with socks chafing my skin while boarding but these socks and the padding and quality have ended all those issues. I can wear these all day and feel no excessive wear on my skin throughout the day. Very comfortable alone and the colors are accurate as shown and vibrant. I bought them to wear over my cotton socks as an extra outdoor layer. They are too tight all the way from top to toe to put on comfortably. They hurt my thumbs, etc. I'll be returning them.

This brand has good reviews on Amazon, so I bought them. They are not particularly warmer than other Merino wool socks (such as Darn Tough). I wore a liner sock after my first use for some help. Perhaps they would be warmer if the material was thicker; these are as thick as my regular socks.
