Great construction and truly waterproof. Also very hard and stiff. Unlike the 5 star reviewers , I did not find them comfortable at all, probably due to poor fit. I am a true 10 1/2 4E. I expected these 3E to be a little snug, but instead were much too roomy, regardless of how tightly I laced them. Wore them to work several rainy days and appreciated the water repelling qualities, but feet were very sore from banging around the hard, loose interior. Even tried two pairs of socks to no avail. Regrettably, had to return them. Would be a fine choice for a better fit than I experienced. Edited 2/3/2015 After reordering a size smaller than my usual, and after an extended break in time, these boots are comfortable enough for a light work day, but I still wouldn't want to hike or work hard in them for an extended length of time. After years of wearing lightweight Asics to work my feet may be more tender than average. Got them on a sale for $55.98 and at this price they make a good case for water proof knocking around and regular duty chores. Living in the great northwest makes these desirable. I had a pair for 8 years and I noticed the top part of the boot was ripping yesterday …. After 8 years ! I ordered the same boots yesterday and they were at my door this afternoon . They fit like a glove and they feel broken in already . Love sketchers !

Over the last few decades I have tried many brands of boots. I used to expect good boots to last a long long time. Since my feet have changed due to age, I now look for a good boot that will last awhile without spending hundreds of dollars. I purchased the Skechers to try out, and let me tella you, these boots are awesome!, great comfortable and seem to be durable. I'm in my 3rd week of a tough job and they are holding up great!. Raw leather. Had to mink oil several times with the old school oven trick. Sucked it up. Couldn't find a sketchers arch fit soft toe work boot so this is what I got. Had to put in my Tred Labs arch support inserts. I'll see how they hold up at 10 hours a day 5 days a week.

The last pair of boots like this I owned were Timberland composite toe boots, and I loved them. Worn to work every day for 10 years. They were just tired. I do like how Sketchers feel, so I gave these a try. I thought I goofed horribly after days one and two, only wearing them briefly. They were fine on day three...go figure. I have picky feet due to nerve damage, and while I thought the 9.5W was too large, it turns out to be just fine. 9.5W is what I wore in the Timberlands, so I'm happy. ... show more
