  • Nice knife
Color: Brown
Nice little knife. 3 1/2 finger grip -- almost 4 but not quite. Still feels good in the hand. Nice strong detent so it flips nice and strong. Thumb hole is kind of small so flicking the blade open is next to impossible for me. Very sharp blade right out of the box. Pocket clip is tip up right hand only. Overall a very nice knife.b ... show more

  • Some things could be improved but for the price it’s 100% worth it
Color: Green
As I mentioned in the title there are some things which could use improvement(more so for tbe micarta version than the G10) versionbut every $25 knife on the planet is also gonna have things which could be improved. It’s a budget knife so u can’t expect it to be top tier in every category. However for what they’re charging it’s a good buy. First, I LOVE THE BLADE SHAPE! Not only does it have an aesthetic appeal but it’s also highly practical for day to day cutting tasks. When doing a pulling cut or a pushing cut the shape of the blade keeps whatever you’re trying to cut right on the curve of the blade. Whatever material you’re cutting stays right on the sweet spot of the blade & gives u the best possible leverage & control. The quality of steel for the blade you typically will not find on a knife for this price. 14c28n would typically be AT LEAST a $40 knife or more. The knife uses washers as opposed to bearings which means u don’t have to worry about the hearings getting messed up when using the knife around dust, dirt or sand. The action is also nice & snappy. Now for the areas which could use improvement. Once again it’s a budget knife & the positives make this knife well worth the price. Number one is the blade has a recurve which means sharpening it will not be quite as simple as it would be with most other pocket knives. Due to the inward curve of the blade u won’t be able to sharpen that area with a typical stone or paddle strop. On both sides of the curve the blade extends out further which means the inward curve will not make contact with a regular sharpening stone or paddle strop. Next, the micarta on the green/black knife seems to be on the super low end for quality or it’s not micarta at all. It feels & looks like wood with a layer of paint on top to make it look like micarta. I don’t know for sure & could be wrong. Sorry but I don’t feel like taking a chip out of it to know for sure. Even if it is real micarta it’s the cheapest micarta I’ve ever felt. Id recommend going with the G10 version in the jade color. Second issue with the micarta version is the pocket clip has a bit of side to side flex & due to the handle material u can audibly hear it when the clip moves which is every time u flip open the knife. As a right handed person there ends up being some pressure on the clip which causes it to move & make a creaking noise each time it happens. Despite the few cons this is a great buy, in my opinion it’s the budget friendly version of the Vosteed Nightshade & happens to be right at the 3” mark which keeps it legal in states with a 3” limit(unlike the Nightshade). ... show more

  • Great Sandvik blade knife
Color: Brown
I'm a total fan of Sandvik steel blade knives. My wife for Hanukkah gave me a James brand red stone. Awesome knife, Sandvik steel, my Mora knife, my Kershaw leek, all my Opinel and Svord knifes all Sandvik. Easy to sharpen holds a great edge. This Sitivien knife is also Sandvik. I will purchase the G10 scale model of this knife today to compare. Great little knife, I have the brown micarta grips. I don't know. But, the mechanics and initial sharpness of the blade and design is cool. For me is was easy to sharpen between two ceramic rods. Just honed the blade easy just follow the curve of the blade. Buy one!! ... show more

  • Nice little knife, but no reverse flick
Color: Brown
Great little knife with a cool shape, like a mini kukri. Came sharp, nice thin grind, good snappy action and solid lockup. Centered. If it's actually properly treated 14c28n, it's a great deal. My one complaint is they missed a good opportunity to have 2 deployment methods. The hole doesn't work for reverse flicking even though it looks like it would, and neither does the etched line beneath it- it's not deep enough. 💁♂️ Still a great little knife though. I threw a kwik thumb stud on it. 4.5 stars. ... show more

  • Almosy didn't buy
Color: Green
I almost did not buy this knife because of negative reviews but because of owning several other Sitivien knives, bought it anyway. I'm so glad I did!!! The size is exactly as described and pictured. Fits hand well, detent is spot on and the action is smooth opening and closing. Really like the micarta, it is smooth but grippy. The quality and feel of this knife is comparable to knives many times the price! ... show more

  • Good for what it is, G10 Jade handle so slippery I drop it when dry!
Color: Jade
As the title says. scales are verrrrry slippery, I may sand them to rough it up a bit, but honestly, will probably return. Handle shape + pocket clip is pretty uncomfortable to my fairly average size Men's hands. Hole is useless for anything other than thumb opening. Detent is so light it will pop open with just a light shake, and the flipper just barely gives enough momentum to lock the blade...I personally don't like this. Action is quite smooth and fairly drop shut out of the box. Mine came sharp as well. Not for me, but plenty to like about this little guy for the price. ... show more

  • Dramatic improvement with use.
Color: Jade
Don't get me wrong, this is an inexpensive knife and my collection runs the gamut. I want you to understand that you are getting exactly what you pay for here. I really, REALLY like the recurve nature of this flipper. The round shape of the D10 handle gives it a rather secure grip. This grip is slightly ruined by the nice, deep carry pocket clip pushing into the curve (I am really finicky so this may not reflect your own feel of it). Now for the main critiques: To start, the thumb flipper is tiny. 0.5mm extension would probably be enough to make it significantly more useable as a flipper. Second, the knife arrived with so much grit in it that even after a significant amount of work irrigating it with oil I can still feel the less-than-smooth turn as the knife opens. As I haven't completely dismantled it I'm not sure if this is grit inside the bearings that I can't get to or grit still remaining between the handle and pivot somewhere. The knife arrive barely able to pass 90 degrees on open. With some work I've been able to get it to fully deploy consistently now. The jimping on the top of the knife does a very nice job of grabbing my thumb when using it for high pressure work. Update: after a couple weeks of continuous use it no longer feels gritty and fully opens when the flipper is pressed. It's a shame that the ball detente (as others have mentioned) has enough pressure to keep you from opening it with the thumb hole. ... show more
