We have restored old antique sink and wanted to protect the finish from dings and dents. These mats are perfect. They're softer and more pliable than I thought they'd be and more cushiony - which is great. The drain hole lines up perfectly for you can still easily access the garbage disposal without removing the mat. Because of the little holes, you do have to lift and get small food particles out of the holes, but the sprayer takes care of that pretty easily. It's worth the tiny bit of extra time that takes to preserve the surface of the sink. I would have gotten white if that was an option; I don't care for the gray. My new double sink came with metal sink protectors but I didn't like how things would fall through the openings. These sink mats work wonderful to protect the sink, and the holes are small enough to keep things like silverware from falling through or getting caught on them. To clean the mats I just turn them over, apply some dish soap to a scrub brush, and use the brush to scrub down the mats. - easy peasy.
