    • Marvelous device for those of us who want one cup of good coffee at a time
I have never been a fan of the whole K-cup thing because of the obvious environmental issues surrounding the wastefulness of it all. This device has done a good job of turning me around on the concept because it includes a permanent strainer basket that takes regular coffee. I have used it a few times now and it has reliably brewed a good cup from the drip-grind coffee that I have on hand. Beyond that, it has other other features to like. For one thing, it has presets to brew exact amounts of coffee from 4 to 16 ounces. Some of my mugs are 10 oz. and others are 12 oz. And then there are the insulated tumblers... Well, this device can take that all in stride. And if I do decide to do the K-cup thing, the device comes with four capsule holders. I could easily set up an array of my favorite brews ahead of time so I could choose one on a whim when coffee time arrives. This is going to live in my office, where I start my day right after waking up and getting dressed. ... show more

I don't have a lot of counter space so I really like the size of this unit. It's also versatile since it can take coffee, pods, and loose tea. The attachments are easy to fill and insert into the machine. I also liked that you have a large water reservoir and can see the maker drain down the water. In my other single cup maker I had to be precise with water or I had a mess. And if you don't see the water decrease, it means you probably forgot to take out the red silicone tab that is on the bottom of the water tank. (see my picture) In my unit the Size button took a bit of extra pressing. I have to hit it several times if I'm switching sizes. If you always have the same size, this isn't an issue. The other item is it goes about 3/4 of an ounce over on the liquid. In other words, the 8 oz setting came in around 8.75 oz. This may be intentional to account for the grounds or tea absorbing water which is variable based on quantity and item. It's just something to realize. ... show more

I'm really liking this machine! I've had Keurig machines for the last 5-7 years, and I like them for the convenience. I use my own grounds in the reusable K-cups, and what I liked about this one is it had the option for that as well, and even came with a cup to put your own grounds in. It also comes with a cup for tea and a cup if you do want to use the traditional Keurig pods. This is sleek and modern looking, does not take up a lot of space, and does it all. Coffee, tea, iced coffee, iced tea! Has a lot of controls so you can control the size of your drink and the type. The reservoir is a good size. I drink a lot of coffee and tea not necessarily all caffeinated, but I do drink a lot. And I love iced coffee and iced tea. You can do all of that with this one machine. This is perfect for someone that is the only coffee drinker in the house, or lives alone. This would be an amazing gift for someone. The machine did brew hot and it worked well. A really useful "pod" coffee maker with many options for brew size. The unit is small and compact, takes up minimum room on a kitchen counter. I find the removable water reservoir particularly convenient for filling. Although I mainly use coffee pods, I like having the option of using ground coffee.
