I bought this piece of furniture and was so excited because it was actually all wood, for a change, I took the parts out of the box noticed there weren't as many as I expected and thought wow this should be a piece of cake. I was wrong and it took me all weekend, two entire days, to assemble. The grommets are a terrible idea for something this large and heavy, they are not sturdy and do not stay, they also break easy. I had to pull out extra grommets I had left over from a different piece of furniture I assembled recently. Also, the front doors were not labeled correctly causing me to put one on backwards, then fix it. The grommets that are not sturdy cause the entire piece to not fit together properly. I literally had to put my own screws into the top from inside the cabinet to secure the furniture. Otherwise it was so wobbly, can't have a wobbly buffet, it's for many dishes or China etc. which is heavy. All that said it's together and looks great after my home made modifications. I would have sent it back but I just moved and have had to get refunds for two other pieces of furniture I purchased from Amazon lately and I was just ready to put this last thing together and be done unpacking. I would try to purchase from this company one more time, I feel like they have good products maybe it was just my luck to get a piece like this, also the wood cracked and broke in a spot while trying to secure the top but thankfully it isn't in a super important spot. ... show more

Several things are true in previous reviews. 1. Excellent packaging nothing broken. 2. It is solid wood, no particle board. 3. Some predrilled holes are missing. 4. No awful smell as some noted. As far as assembly. If they didn’t have nearly impossible cam screws this piece wouldn’t have sat on my living room floor for a week. My husband broke three cams initially, that was a nightmare. We called customer support which sent additional parts and a video. That wasn’t very helpful. I was ready to send it back to Amazon and settle for a preassembled table from Costco. Frustration levels were high. A carpenter neighbor of our got us through the cam placement and gave us a drill bit to borrow that helped with seating holes. Assembly was pretty easy after that. On the backing there were no pre drilled holes on middle piece. That wasn’t too much of a challenge. The challenge was the glass door in the middle. There were no predrilled holes for that door or the hinges. Trying to line up hinges door and height was tough. My husband bolstered the door on wood so we could hang in place; with our neighbors tool to set the correct drill holes it worked like a charm. The piece is beautiful and I love it in the house. It is sturdy and everything i wanted. It matches our other furniture perfectly. It is good quality. In retrospect I may have looked longer and harder for a pre assembled piece. If not for outside help I would have probably had to send it back for a refund. ... show more

This is a really nice wood cabinet, but I give it 3 stars for several reasons. I got it in white and got it because it is wood and I like the style. I do agree with others that said it is smelly, I think it may depend on the color you get. I have had it since March of 2022 and it still stinks when you open the doors. I think they use an oil based paint on it because it smells like a strong oil based paint, YUCK! Use a better paint that is less smelly please because this just STINKS. Also on one side it looks like the paint did not fully cover and has a slight run. Luckily the side that is messed up is facing a wall and not really seen so I kept it and deal with it rather than going through the hassle to exchange. I also do not like the knobs, they were too chrome and cheap looking and I prefer brushed nickel as it matches the rest of my decor better so I switched out the knobs for brushed nickel. Otherwise it is a nice cabinet, it would however be better if it came with 3 more shelves, I added shelves myself. Fairly easy to put together, I did most all of it myself and my husband only helped with a couple things. Overall it looks nice, I just wish it would stop stinking. ... show more

I like how heavy and sturdy this cabinet feels. Unfortunately they sent us with multiple of the wrong pieces so we ended up having to drill our own holes and work around the wrong parts. It works even if one door won’t close all the way!

Love this item! There was no funny smell as I had read in some of the other reviews. as a precaution after I assembled it, I wiped down the inside with a non-abrasive cleaner and left the doors open overnight.

As other buyers have pointed out, the off gassing from this cabinet at first is overwhelming. We unboxed it and just let it sit for four days in our garage with the door open before assembling it. Even then, it was still giving off quite a strong odor. Do not unbox and assemble it indoors. You won't be able to tolerate the smell and I'm sure that breathing the fumes in a closed space would not be healthy. My other word of caution is about the assembly time. My wife and I spent a good five hours working together on this. It wouldn't be practical for one person to do it alone. We're both pretty handy and have good tools to work with. One tip: don't rely on using only the supplied tools. You'll also need a small rubber mallet and good quality Phillips head screwdriver to get certain parts together. The unopened box weighs an honest 100 lbs., so if you can, have it delivered in the spot where you plan to assemble it. With all of this said. I have never seen a piece of furniture packed and shipped any better. It's obvious that a lot of thought and care went into engineering this product so that it would fit and ship safely in a single box. Every piece and set of hardware is clearly labeled. The printed instructions are logical, easy to understand and clearly illustrated. And make no mistake, this cabinet is made out of real wood. There's not one piece of particle board to be found. We couldn't find a single nick, mark or scratch anywhere. Once assembled, it's a beautiful piece of furniture. The fit and finish of all of the pieces are perfect.
