I absolutely adore this hat. I'm one of those extremely fair, blue eyed women, and I swear if you even mention sunlight, I burn! 😉 My hair used to actually be completely white, but that changed to a more golden blonde in my early teens. My hair gotdarker, but my skin did not and I am still extremely sensitive to the sun. I have to buy special sunscreen especially for the summer months that has to exceed a factor 50 to keep me fully protected, not to mention that I have to wear sunscreen year round., Melanoma runs in both sides of my family, and I had my first bout of pre-cancerous Melanoma in my large birth mark on my back & in 2 moles on my shoulder at the age of 12. Since then I have had to visit my Dermatologist for rescreenings every 3 years. I've been extremely lucky that it hasn't reappeared, however the dermatologist tells me every time to remain vigilant, not expose too much skin to the sun & ensure I always wear a high power sun screen. Iown a lot of hats, but this is truly 1 of the most favorites in my arsenal. Not only is it beautiful & fashionable, but it folds up so small you can take it with you with in a small bag or purse & not damage it in any way. Then when you're ready to use it again, simply unroll it, and wala it's a beautiful, full coverage sun hat once again. It's the perfect shape to cover your face, neck, fron & back, & a little of your shoulders from the sun. It also has this great opening to allow extra heat to escape, and allows for women to wear with pony tails, top knots or high buns while still getting the sun coverage they need. Needed these in a pinch before my trip to the desert, I LOVE tanning but not my face and these are perfect because I have very long hair that never fits under a hat. I only wish they were more comfortable and a bit more adjustable. The big bow on the back is a little uncomfortable to lay your head against a lounger in the sun and unless my head is small, it’s a little loose, so the top of my head gets really hot in the sun still where the opening is too large for me. If they just made the Velcro area larger, it would fix the problem and be much more one size fits all. ... show more

I have to buy a new summer hat every year because they get too floppy! Once they’re wet and stored for the winter they never hold their shape again! This. Hat. Is. Awesome. It folds flat and pops back into shape for easy wear and storage!

Absolutely love this hat great straw quality but doesn't fit if you have a slightly larger head if your normal hat size is 22.0-23.5 inches it will not fit fully. You can get on but half of the Velcro is showing as it it won't close all the way. I change my hair style often so this is really important to me I need a hat that goes with natural curl hair and straight hair. Hats are a hit or miss for me but I would not discourage anyone from getting this hat at all it's a great product. ... show more
