This thing is built like a tank. It ships vertically, standing up. The back is a bit more firm than I expected, but I suspect it will break in a little over time. The foot extension has a nice soft cushion on it for your heals. The leather feels very nice and the perforated seat area really does help keep things cool. The hinges on the arm storage areas are slow closing hinges - pretty neat. The motors are smooth and quiet. The powered headrest, lumbar, and recline all work smoothly with the arm rest controls. The usb wireless charger slot holds my iPhone nicely even with a case. The additional usb port is nice. There's a huge tall storage location under the center console hidden from view. Great for man stuff. If you plan to move this by yourself, you will definitely need some ratchet straps to put around the box for leverage. I'd recommend 2 or 3 individuals. One person could slide and lift it, but it will not be fun. It weighs around 300lbs. The box is about 29-30 inches wide on it's side. You can squeeze it a little if you need to... it bulges just a bit. The couch is bagged in cloth and plastic in the box. The actual couch is around 27-28 inches on it's side. There are 2 thumb screws attached to a strip of red plastic that are used to attach the center back rest. Took me a bit to find those. They are underneath near the zipper for the storage area where the middle backrest piece is. The couch does not creak at all when sitting on it even for 300+ lbs. Seems like this couch will last a while. It's expensive, but the second you try to move it or sit on it, you will feel it. Would I recommend this? Yes. If you're tired of cheap couches that creak and break and fall apart just from sitting on them, look no further. This couch is what you need. The most difficult part was unboxing. This is a very heavy piece of furniture. But worth every pound!!! It was super easy to assemble. Just take the back rests and align at the base and push gently down. Connect 1 cable for each seat and you are done! This is the most luxurious, comfortable furniture, and packed with extras: Wireless charging, USB charging, so much storage! Cup holders, and what I like the most and didn't find in other living room furniture (I did a lot of research and window shopping) is the lumbar support. I love that it is electric. The last time we had a living room, the very first time I pulled on the cable to recline, the thing snapped -never to be able to recline. This will definitely not be the case with this one! It is my dream living room! If you are thinking of buying this love seat, don't over think. It is worth every single penny!!! ... show more

Its firm and comfortable. The functions are smooth and quiet. The set is very easy to assemble you're wondering. The delivery was Horrible the guy from Ceva was rude and left it in the doorway. The day before the RXO delivery person took it the family room about 15 steps yes I counted.

This is an electric power recliner. Requires a functioning motor, a functioning control pad, and interconnecting wiring. This was delivered on a Tuesday. Box was mangled up quite a bit. Got the thing unboxed but it needs 2 people to lift/tilt it up to get at the assembly parts shipped in the bottom of the heavy base. Got the thing assembled with some struggling and sat in the right seat. Worked okay. Wednesday evening had a seat in the left side. Pressed the button and the unit failed to recline. I'd say it's a bad control unit/switch, or maybe a short between the power adapter and motor. The power headrest and lumbar features operate as they should. Just the recliner function that fails to operate. Amazon will not send a repair technician out. They only offer to return the unit. They say the manufacturer should cover the warranty repair. The local Ashley store will not help. They gave me a phone number to a central office somewhere. Since I didn't buy the piece from Ashley the guy I talked to sent the complaint to their "back room" office. Got an email. They can ship broken parts only. They will not send a technician to find out and/or repair the problem. Am now waiting for Amazon Returns to email me within 24 to 72 hours. ... show more

Some other reviews on here might cause you to hesitate. Trust me, this is a worthy purchase. All surfaces that you come in contact with are indeed leather. I’ve experienced no peeling nor do I anticipate any on the headrests. The leather is durable, thick, and not slick feeling. I had a new reclining loveseat from a popular company that charges way more. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a return policy so I bit the bullet, gave it away, and got this to replace it. It’s way more comfortable. The recline is sufficient for napping and the adjustable headrest and lumbar support make this ideal for TV marathons. Storage is generous and the controls are easy to reach and nicely tactile. This is a hidden gem and I recommend this purchase wholeheartedly. ... show more
