I ordered this sofa and its companion loveseat after quite a bit of research. I was looking for something in this price range that had good reviews (not just in Amazon) and something that would stand up to both people and dogs with slip covers on the cushions. I am pleasantly surprised by this sofa. The back and sidearms are very comfortable and you just sink into them. The seat cushions are firm but comfortable. I suspect that the cushions will soften up over time. I really like the blue color. It's almost teal in the light of my living room. Looks great with gray painted walls.     • Great couch, good for sleeping, soft fabric
We bought this couch for our studio apartment a few months ago, and so far we love it. The color is a nice, calm green -- not too bright. And the fabric is great, too: it's soft, but still very resistant to things like crumbs and liquid. We eat a lot on our couch, and it's super easy to just sweep any crumbs or debris off the cushions. The cushion padding is also good -- I feel like it supports both of us very well, without sinking in. It's nice and wide, and the arms are rounded and cushioned, which makes it perfect for napping. Our friend visited us and slept on this couch for a week, and he had zero complaints -- it's even reasonably comfortable to sleep on it without a pillow. We live in a studio apartment, and we were initially worried the couch would take up too much room, but it doesn't feel cramped in our space at all. And we have not attached the feet (because we don't have the power drill we apparently need to do it) so the couch sits just a little lower for that reason. The only thing I wish is that ALL the cushions were detachable. But that's really my only complaint. Overall it's been a fantastic first couch for us, very comfy, and it looks very classy and inviting in our living room. Some notes about delivery: I would recommend that if you buy this, you schedule a delivery time when you and a partner can move it into your place TOGETHER. Ours was delivered while I was at work, and the moving guy would not offer to help carry it up the stairs, so my boyfriend had to rely on the kindness of a stranger in our building to help him carry it. Also: I was initially worried about fitting this thing through our narrow doorway (approx. 31.5 inches wide) but it ended up fitting through the doorway NO PROBLEM, still folded up inside its packaging.     • FOUR STARS—BUT Inspect Before You Sign!!
We love the new sofa, Signature Design by Ashley (dark gray.) We had a few major kinks in the buying process, but we’re now happy with our purchase. I really like the design. Love the deep gray color—there’s a hint of deep blue in it (see pics), making a subtle, dark blue-gray (not a brown-gray) that creates an elegant, inviting space to seat two adults comfortably. When the FIRST sofa came, it was terribly damaged. The fabric underneath, which hides the inner parts, was ripped clean away from half of the underside. From inside the sofa, there was a large plank of solid wood sticking out about 1 foot from frame underneath!! For some reason the 2x6 plank of wood is allegedly meant to be there, but it was screwed into the sofa frame, with half the plank sticking out, so clearly it was in the wrong place. We couldn’t even sit on our new couch. Amazon made this 100% right for us. They arranged pickup of the damaged one; If we had inspected it BEFORE signing the form and letting them leave, they’d have taken it back with them. We didn’t inspect, so we had to wait for a total of 4 weeks for a decent place to sit. Amazon was awesome about the refund, issuing $$ back to our bank in less than 3 days. No hassles, very helpful. The replacement is really nice. This sofa is gorgeous. It seats only two adults comfortably; we had expected it to easily seat 3, so that’s too bad. Fabric is fine, though I wish it did not show swipe marks, like vacuum cleaners do on carpet. The cushions are semi-firm and super comfy. It’s a ‘unisex’ piece, would fit right in with either masculine or feminine decor. It was a great buy at first. The first one was around $400 on a huge sale. But I had to return the first, then buy the new one, and by then the Sale had ended. I had to pay an extra $140 for the very same sofa. :( We were unhappy at first, and we had no place to sit for 3 weeks, til the replacement came. Still, Amazon did its very best. I do wish the material were more natural-fiber, soft and strong. This one is okay though. Soft, comfy, pretty. DO NOT SIGN the delivery notice until you fully inspect the sofa!! That way you can return it on the spot if needed. In the Product Reviews, this same random wood plank and the large fabric tear are mentioned several times! Not sure how/why such a bad mistake keeps happening with this specific sofa. ... show more
