Isn’t obsidian supposed to be black? This is what I got. Even the blackish pieces were not polished long enough. Lots of pits and rough spots because the polishing was cut short. Again poor quality. Lots of grayish and black with white speckles I wanted solid black polished stones. Lots of Smokey quartz instead. ... show more

Purchased the black obsidian crystal chips, expected them to be black. However, what I received was more of a translucent dark brown. Still usable for the purpose I had for them though, but I could see how that may not be the case for others purchasing.

Bought this to use on artificial succulent arrangements. As you can imagine 9 ounces didn’t go too far once the two arrangements were put together, it was way too flashy for me so I have dug it all out and will be returning it.
