Description

Sigma's weatherproof one-gang boxes provide a junction for conduits and can house a single wired device such as a receptacle or switch. The rugged, die- cast construction prevents moisture penetration making the boxes suitable for wet, damp or dry locations. Boxes are powder coated for corrosion resistance and feature a ground screw for secure installation. Boxes include hardware, closure plugs and a pre-installed ground screw.

I needed a weatherproof box for a new outlet in an outdoor shed. This 1-gang metal box is from a well known brand that you can often find in the local hardware store. The box has 3 1/2" NPT threaded holes for conduit attachment and includes plugs and mounting hardware. One thing I found odd is that the outlet mounting plates are pressed into place and aren't removable under normal conditions. Other boxes I've used have had mounting plates that are removable which is something that's come in handy once or twice when a box is a little overcrowded. Still, the price is right and I didn't have to go to the box store to get it. Recommended. ... show more

The box doesn't come with a center cover, which is 3/4 while the ends are 1/2 in. The screw in covers are plastic, not metal now. There are a pair of legs for mounting. I didn't see that in the description I used it to terminate an indoor BX run. It worked well..
