This is my 5th SIGG bottle in probably 12 years. My first one still works but I use it to store non drinkable stuff in my garage now. I kept it in my backpack when I was flying multiple times a week for work. It has dents all over it from being jammed under airline seats. Once I noticed damage to the inner coating, it got sent to the garage. My second one suffered a similar fate, but there was one thing odd with bottle #2. The rubber on the caps kept getting moldy or discolored. It made the edges of the bottle smell weird. Even if I replaced the cap, the same thing would happen in a couple of months. Bottles 3 and 4 I drank Liquid IV with my water. I do not recommend this. It coated the inside of the bottle and it was a bear to get clean. I was rinsing and cleaning it once or twice a week (even with distilled vinegar). It still ruined the bottles. For water... there is nothing better. Other drinks, keep a close eye on the inside of the bottle. They last for a long time no matter what. ... show more

No issues and these fit the water bottle holder on my backpack perfectly - it requires a fairly small bottle, so these are great. You do have to make sure you twist on the cap evenly and don't cross thread - if it looks a little wonky when it's going on, be sure to redo it so it closes flush, or it will leak. I got this to replace one that I'd really liked and used every day for the past five or six years for relatively short hikes (you need a bigger bottle for long hikes). Unfortunately, its smooth sides make it easy to drop. I'd dropped the old one so many times that even though it's quite sturdy, the bottom edge got more and more dented over the years, and finally cracked. To avoid that, I'll put some stretchy cloth bands and/or fat rubber bends around the middle so it's easier to grip! ... show more

I was doubting since the beginning of buying this product, due to some comments about people complaining of some scratches or bumps in the product. I brought these to Ecuador, and when I got it finally, mine has a bump on the bottom of the bottle, and a few scratches as you can see in the picture. Honestly, I can’t tell if this was how the product came from the beginning, or if these damages were provoked because it was brought with normal equipment. Now, I hope my comment doesn’t affect buyers to go for this product: you can still give a leap of faith and go for this. I can bet it will be very useful and from a very good material. I needed a good water bottle to have during my workouts and at Jiu Jitsu training. I thought this one looked cool with the brushed aluminum color look so I purchased it. It keeps the water cold for a long time, it's very light weight, and I like the little finger hole on the lid as it makes it easy to hold and carry around. My only complaint is that the metal bottle dents extremely easy. You will drop the bottle at some point, because that's life. So now it has multiple dents all over it...BUT, this doesn't affect the use of the bottle and it still works for what it's intended for...to hold cold water for me to drink while working out. I would buy this again...might be nice if they included a rubber sleeve or something to help absorb the impact when you drop it, but it's not really a big deal. ... show more
