It was handy to have an extra set of hands for the assembly. It was a little tricky at parts, but the step by step directions and diagrams made it pretty easy. I didn't necessarily want it for a corner, but it is an corner design. It's not "sturdy" but it is functional for gentle use. I like having the space and the shelves on the side. I use a laptop and a second monitor and there's plenty of space for both and actual paper work. It does show finger prints, dust and drink rings easy, I keep furniture wipes handy. It meets a certain quality / price ratio. Good for the at home worker that wants a little space, not compact but not big and it looks nice. ... show more

I have bought and put together hundreds of different pressboard desks, book cases, end tables, and other things over the years and usually went to somewhere like walmart or an office supply store. This desk is by far the best building design and easiest to put together I have ever built. Almost all the part slide together with sturdy plastic connectors that are already screwed on to each piece. There is 16 alan head screws that just support the corner piece of the desk and the desk already has inset metal threads so there is no guessing. It took me only 10 minutes to unbox this desk and fully put it together. issues - well I still give this desk 5 stars with these issues because everything has issues but these seamed very minor in my eyes. There was one piece that was a little difficult to slide together because it seemed I didn't notice both connectors but was a quick and easy fix. The other thing is one of the shelves the plastic slide brackets that hold it together was a very small amount off so when the shelf was on it was very tight but when the other pieces that attach to the shelf were put on it is sturdy just very snug. The other thing is this is a thin pressboard desk and not one you would use in a high end office but its absolutly what I expected and great for my barn office I use it for. This desk is cheap. Any desk under $200 is going to have its flaws. It has some pros though too. Pros: -Low cost -Easy assembly -Good design Cons: -Cheap press-board wood -Shelf size is pretty small -can fit a few books there or computer parts -Cheap press-board As you can see by the photos, the desk met the minimum requirements for what I need for my gaming/work from home setup. Easily attached a monitor mount, and the corner hiding design allowed for some easy "cable management". The cheap press-board has some stress cracks after just 2 weeks (one came on arrival). I am going to get a 2x2 piece of wood from the store to add some supports to it to fix the issue. The monitors, and other equipment weigh over 60 lbs, plus I occasionally lean on it, I more than likely overloaded it, but because its made cheaply and the manufacture clearly doesn't care, they didn't include a load test to the product description. I'm sure with my modifications it will meet my requirements. If you are looking for a setup like mine, consider another product. If you are more of a minimalist and don't plan on having a heavy load on the desk, this could be right for you. ... show more

This desk is great, especially for the price! I was a little on the iffy side when I was deciding to purchase this because there were some negative reviews and because it was one of the cheapest L desks I could find. Some of the reviews say theirs were flimsy or couldn't support even one monitor, but mine holds my monitor, tablet, speakers, figurines, and more. I feel like if you put it together correctly, then you shouldn't have a problem... Yes, when you move or push it into an area you want it to be by using more force than usual, it may sway a tad of course. Other than that, it's fine and quite sturdy. I built mine in the corner I wanted it to be in (as you probably should...), and after it's in place, it doesn't move or shake when I'm working on it. The instructions were easy to follow. They reminded of LEGO instructions, but for adults (a lot of pictures and no text). So I hope you had your LEGO practice. I didn't use a screwdriver once. The stoppers/screws on the bottom can be done by hand, the package provides a hex key for the few screws needed underneath the top, and everything else just slides in. I was able to build it by myself, but having a helping hand would be a plus. The final piece was difficult to slide in alone to make sure it locked in, but it is doable! Overall this desk is great. I finally have a place where I can easily switch from gaming, digital drawing, to traditional drawing or class work as I please! ... show more
