  • Does the job and more.
This is the first dust collector that I've ever purchased. It was definitely worth the $ for what it does. The seller called the day after purchasing to schedule a delivery date. The package came on a semi-truck and luckily we had a forklift to unload it--granted, two guys could've picked it up. As I started unboxing the machine, I was definitely let down. Several of the parts were severely scratched up, and the main intake had a large dent in it. Also, my dad was surprised that it was a 3hp motor because of the size. There are 10 HP motors out there that are equivalent to this footprint. Anyhow, I casually built it in about 1.5 hours. I ended up having to buy a breaker, wires, and a box to run 220 power to this beast. I knew that going in though... It's clearly listed as a 220v machine. I also bought the cyclone thing to catch the large particles. So I have about 100 hours running this thing and it is still amazing. I've emptied over 55 gallons of dust from my cyclone and have yet to empty a single bag. I'm using this on a CNC router for surfacing oak/blackwalnut/elm. Also, as a note, I originally capped one of the intakes. I was only running one...so i figured that I needed to cap the other 3. The machine comes with 2 caps attached and I soon learned that it is best to leave the extra intake wide open. She's kind of loud, but it's not horrendous. I run it outside at night and the neighbors haven't complained yet, granted we have a moderate amount of land. ... show more

  • Assembly instructions are thorough and machine is extremely quiet
Despite some other reviews I set this up in about 30 minutes and was horrified with the amount of suction, not for a weekend warrior or hobbyist, this is a real machine. I have multiple dust collectors and this is by far the best bang for the buck considering how quiet for the amount of suction regardless of what your expectation is. Literally can't hear the dust collector if there's a shop vac nearby running. I use it for my 4 Shop Fox molders and another for 7 Shop Fox shapers without a single issue. ... show more

  • Easy assembly. good suction
Easy assembly. good suction. good quality so far. i think we will buy a second one soon. the plastic bags are still working but i also bought two cloth bags so i do not have to keep buying replacements and the cloth bag will allow more air to escape. i talked to a person and ordered the top bags which will also fit the bottom. ... show more

  • Great blower/dust collector!
I've been using this for about 4 months and I'm very happy with it. Noise level is very comparable to the smaller 2HP harbor freight it replaced, and it pulls at least double what their blower was rated. UPDATE: Over a year now and both of mine are still going great! Each has plenty of power for 3-4 machines. ... show more

  • I could not be more pleased with it !!!
I purchased this unit to service my whole workshop. I had a much smaller unit but it didn't work very well when I ran duct work down the wall of my shop to service more equipment. This one works just fine. I would recommend this to anyone with a workshop and enough floor space for it.
