The end of the story is... they work just like you would think they do. They are in my closet and doing their job. Let me fast track your learning so you will give this product higher than 3 stars. Each shoe rack needs to connect the two parts. They don't come out of the box ready to use. Now that I know how to connect them, I could work on an assembly line snapping these together all day but my learning curve took me 10+ minutes so here's what you need to know. When you are connecting the two tabs into the slots (on each side of the shoe rack) make sure the other end of the rack (the end where you would slip the shoe in is completely closed. (both ends touching each other) Don't have the two show platforms parallel to each other or the tabs will be incredibly difficult to connect. At first, you will think you can get them in (like I did) but it's difficult. They work... there isn't much TO work. They are plastic pieces you put your shoes on to save space. ... show more

I’ve had these for about a year now, and I do use them as they are truly space savers- I just don’t think I’d buy more. Pros: • Easy to snap together • Allow for space saving on closet shelves Cons: * I use these for women’s shoes size 8.5-9.5 • In order to accommodate the lower level shoe, the stand has to be opened nearly or all the way up. Which is fine, except the upper level shoes tend to slip as there is not a good stopper. • They’re pretty flimsy. • Depending on the type of shoe you’re looking to organize these may or may not work well. I’m using them for heels, sneakers, hey dudes, flats… most of my sneakers are almost too wide to fit nicely. The heels need a higher angle so they run into the not having a good stopper to catch them. Shoes like hey dudes are straight up too wide. Like I said, I use these, I want my closet to be nice but it’s not a show room. So they suffice. I just would be mindful of the shoes you’re using and decide from there. I was using clear boxes but I needed more space- and these did help that. ... show more

Update to earlier - have them all in my closet now and they are wonderful! They were super easy to assemble - just do one side at a time and line up the little slots and click. Then do the other side, and push in the middle part so you can adjust your height, and you have so much more space in your closet now!! ... show more

This could be a great product if they would make it sturdy enough to use. It is a great space saver for shoes but impossible to put most of them together as they do not fit in the pri drilled plastic holes. Again, they need to work on the material itself and make it sturdy.
