I have a favorite pair of sneakers, but they get dirty easily. After washing them in the clothes washer, the rubber sides pulled away from the fabric. They are fairly new and I was going to throw them away, but then I saw this item pull up on my feed and quickly ordered it. The product itself is easy to apply, it has a pinpoint needle tip that puts the gel-like adhesive exactly where you want it. You then use the spreader to spread it around inside. I had no problems applying, and did not get any adhesive where I didn't want it. I held the pieces together for a minute or so, and then left them for 24 hours to dry. I am happy to report that the adhesive works perfectly, and I have tons more left over should I ever need to repair some more shoes. This Viomis shoe glue kit is excellent and I absolutely love the results that it is producing, over the years I have experienced a lot of different products that were claiming to have perfect results and are easy to use, but till this particular kit none of the other ones were that effective. The Viomis kit comes with four little tubes, two files to clean the area before you glue, some rubber bands to hold the shoe together and last but not least there is a small plastic spatula that helps spread the glue over the area. At the beginning I was a little skeptical based on the impression left by the package, which is just a small plastic bag, but I am happy that I was wrong. The first thing that stood out as a great decision was the way the cap of each tube was engineered, essentially there are two very thin small needles one is attached to the cap and is going inside the other one that is on the tip of the tube, that way you are not dealing with dried up glue that you will have to clean every time you try to use the glue, with this system here, you won't need to worry about any of that, every time the tube is open, it is ready to be used and as soon as you are done, just place the cap back on to avoid drying issues. I used the glue on three separate pairs of sneakers, on the first the outsole was coming separated from the midsole in the front where the outsole goes over the toebox front is, it took 10 to 15 minutes for me to file away the old glue, apply the new one and keep both parts together pressed, after that it was all done. To achieve the maximum results, I left the shoe to cure overnight as well and on the next day it was like new and I was truly impressed, it was the same case with the other two pairs I repaired, both were similar situations of separation between the midsole and the upper, it was extremely easy to repair and all the results were successful. I didn't grow up in a throwaway culture like we have today. I was taught a long time ago that you have to take care of your stuff and it'll last so I've been repairing clothes and shoes for a long time. I ordered this as I was due for another tube. I tested this on several applications. I used it to reattach a sole to an old boot. Over time the sole had become separated from the leather on the front of the boot. I applied the glue using my own homemade clamp for a settling period of two days. It has been my experience that anything less may not hold for long. I just put a shoehorn in, apply the glue, and clamp it and in two days it is solid as if nothing had ever happened. The second test was applying it on my wife's handbag. The handle was a little worn so she replaced it but has had a hard time when she puts any weight in the bag. I offered to try the glue so I cut into the corresponding handle and looped it through. Then I covered it with the bag's own material and glued the new handle on to reinforce the stitches so that you could never tell it was repaired. So far it has held without any problems. The third test was on a car seat. My grandkids pile in and jump all over the place and this had caused a slight separation where the leather seat is stitched to the material backing. I thought it might be a long shot but it was worth a try so I cut a patch off the excess (from under the seat) and used it to reenforce the seam. I have had it on the seat now for a week and then some and so far all is well. I was worried that it might not take but it did. I was satisfied with my order. The glue worked on several applications all with positive results. In the two weeks I've used it so far I haven't encountered any problems. If you are more inclined to buy quality long lasting products and are willing to take care of them as they age this shoe glue should more than pay for itself. ... show more
