  • I bought both 804 & 805 for my ADV R1200GS - Not Bad at All...
So, on numerous recommendations, I bought both 804 & 805 for my ADV R1200GS and have for the most part been very happy with the cost to performance ratio. The 804 looks like I does Not have enough tread to handle aggressive cornering but I found the design to be surprisingly good in this regard. I have found after about 1800km (around 1100 miles) of carefully working my way up to it's limitations, that the 804 gives me plenty of warning when it is reaching it's limitations and with careful roll-on acceleration, I can load the 805 a bit more allowing the 804 to adhere nicely through the remainder of the turn, exiting smoothly and cleanly... In other words the 804 works pretty well on the road as long as you don't push it like you would a quality 50/50 tire - this is very graciously a 30/70 dirt/street tire that has pretty good road manners, better then expected! In the dirt, more specifically fireroads, logging roads and the like, the 804 is ideal on the R1200GS, most especially while standing, something the GS is designed to do amazingly well. With the 805 in the rear, in standing position I have found that I can really move on known fireroads at speed, pinching the talk with knees, applying rear brake for controlled drift and throttle for controlled drift under power, the 804 appears to stay planted... Most enjoyable and satisfying! Furthermore, both 804 & 805 are quite sticky and thus, do Not expect long life out of these but frankly, I'd rather have sticky then long lifespan especially considering the cost of these at under $200 for the pair! - For a R1200GS, that is good cost to performance ratio! I should also mention that I often ride 2 up with full panniers & large top bag / I at 235lbs and passenger at 169lbs on these and they've worked wonderfully even in this mode, even off road in this mode! ... show more

  • Big Blocks Rock
I got these specifically to do the MABDR. They performed well on gravel and rocky roads. The big surprise was how well they did on tarmac. Though I am not a particularly aggressive rider, I was very pleased with their overall performance. They seem to be wearing fairly well. I had a heavy load on a GSA. ... show more

  • Great tires. My new go to ADV tire
Well worth the money. Rides smooth and corners good. Great off road performance as long as it's not slick top mud

  • Great tire tire along with the matching rear
Great tire tire along with the matching rear! Good wet grip, nice in sand and great on dry pavement. I replace mine when the rear is used up as the front starts getting scalloped knobs by then.
