These telescoping nets are Perfect for a kid’s bug or nature themed birthday party but they won’t truly last much more than a couple of days. Or at least, not around my own nature kids. They get used and played with hard aRound here so its not long before the telescoping feature breaks on the handles and they become “permanently only 8” long handles on a net” items, but the party is really all I needed them for. This is the second time buying these nets. We use them a lot, at the beach, exploring rivers, in the back yard. They easy to pack with the telescope handles. We had dollar store nets and one of these, the only one left was this one, the others all broke. I’m sure I’ll buy more for gifts. (I’m not getting anything for this review), these are just super great for a nice price! ... show more

These are super cute and really fun for homeschooling and exploring but they dont last long. Ours were easily broken within a week and it's not just the netting but the pole too is pretty flimsy. They did work at catching a few lightening bugs and salamanders at our pond but I wish they would've at least lasted the summer. ... show more

They withstand. Dog chewed up one, but thats user error. Not product issue. My toddler has bent 2/6 thus far. Dog chewed the one. So, we have 3/6 left after 3-4 months of use. Cannot complain. Net could be a little larger, as to not damage the larger butterflies, but these are good for kiddos. Caught a few myself with these. ... show more
