  • Works with Samsung Z Fold 5!!!
Color: Midnight
I picked up the Pro version for my Samsung Z Fold 5 but my phone was too narrow to hold securely so I returned it and got the little brother SnapGrip version. It works GREAT! My wife liked it so much for her iPhone 15 Pro that I had to buy another one for myself. We both love that it has a battery built into the handle for a little charge boost and how comfortable it is to hold, that it works as a vertical stand, and of course, that it lets you handle your phone more like a camera. So much to love! We're both super happy with it. BONUS points for having a "pass-through" magsafe ring on the back of the SnapGrip so you can still use your car mount and magsafe popsocket or their camera accessories (light, selfie-stick, or mic). • Great!!
Color: Midnight
I like this snap camera idea. The only issue I have is that I’m left handed & it’s set up to use for right handed people only. Does work well on the iPhone & simple to use. I received a lot of compliments & inquiring minds.

  • Pretty good
Color: Midnight
I ordered this for my iPhone 14 Pro. I have to say the magnet is pretty strong, I've read reviews where people says its not but I have tried to shake it free and only once did that happen. So safe to say the magnet will hold your phone securely. I really like how easily it makes taking photos or videos with your smart phone. Not only in terms of holding the photo but being able to compose and take the photo/video. It truly does make it feel like you're holding a DSLR. The ShiftCam SnapGrip bluetooth's to your phone so you can use the button to take photos. I did find that sometimes it would lose connectivity like a lot of bluetooth device can and do, but overall it's not enough of a deterrent to not want to keep using it or for you not to buy it. Just remember, you have to pair it with your smartphone in order for the bluetooth feature to work. You pretty much have to do this every time you connect your SnapGrip to your smart phone and turn both of them on. The SnapGrip does recharge your phone while you're taking photos with it. I found that when you plug it in to charge it up it takes the usual amount of time a device like this does to recharge. A light does blink to let you know it is charging. They include a magnetic mount with adhesive on it so you can put it on your smart phone or smart phone cover, while I stupidly put my on my iPhone 14 Pro phone cover I did not need to do that because it already has the magnet feature built into it. But if your phone does not this will help you attach the SnapGrig to that phone. They say you can order more of them but I did not find a place to do that. Perhaps I just wasn't looking in the right place. My biggest gripe is I take a LOT of photos with my phone attached to a cell phone mount usually mounted to a tripod or a ball head mounted on a large magnet it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to mount your phone with the ShiftCam SnapGrip on to that cell phone mount. Hoping the manufacturer of this really good product will design and sell a cell phone mount/clamp large enough to use with your SnapGrip attached to your smart phone. I realize not that many photographers take photos in this manner but the ones who do would really appreciate and buy a cell phone mount/clamp that enabled you to clip your smart phone with the Shift Cam SnapGrip attached to the smartphone. Right now the way it is designed its too wide to be able to safely put your smart phone on to it. While, some say the SnapGrip is slightly overpriced, I did not feel that way because I like using it so much. I adhere to the philosophy that if you feel something is made well and you use it lot then it is not overpriced. Summary: If you like taking photos/videos with a DSLR and want that kind of feel with your smart phone then this baby is for you! ... show more

  • Not secure even with open back case
Color: Midnight
This grip seemed like a good idea for making the iPhone feel more like a dedicated camera. However there are two flaws that were showstoppers for me. 1. There is a ridge on the phone-side of the grip that is about 1/8 of an inch too close to the outside of the phone, such that if you have a bumper frame case (i.e. a case with no back) it pulls the grip away from the phone, making the mag-safe connection less secure. Any bumper frame will have a ridge that lines up perfectly with the ridge on the ShiftCam grip, so the only way to prevent this is to stick the supplied metal plate over the iPhone's mag-safe connector, thereby defeating the purpose of the open back case. 2. The bluetooth connection used for the shutter release button has to be manually established each time you connect the ShiftCam to the phone. It doesn't automatically resume the connection when it's nearby, so the shutter release button isn't usable until you go into settings each time and re-connect. Other than those two issues, it can be a handy tool. The built-in battery can increase battery life which would be especially important for shooting high-frame-rate, high-resolution video. If your iPhone is not in a case, or you don't mind using the metal plate to strengthen the adherence between the iPhone and grip, it's perfectly fine. ... show more

  • Notes from a professional photographer
Color: Midnight
TL;DR - Premium feeling accessory that gets me to take more candid and fun photos. Would suggest!!! I do real estate photography and love to take photos otherwise. Hauling around a camera all the time isn't the most practical thing, so for those quick shots that I know I will never print I use my phone. This device has been great. I have a case on my phone (iPhone 13 Pro) with the mag-safe built in and it sticks to that with no problem. It's a clear case with a white ring (I think I paid $10 on Amazon). I wouldn't feel safe using it without a case as it doesn't hold to the phone by itself that well (I have found not much does without the case). The build quality is solid and has a premium soft touch to it. I have looked at others that look more like hard plastic that didn't look as comfortable to handle. Will your photography instantly improve? I mean no, but I do find myself enjoying using the phone more, which prompts me to take more photos. This of course gives me more photos to go through and pick the best ones. So, indirectly your photo skills may improve by just taking more photos, trying new things, and building experience. My only issue is the charging. It doesn't really charge my phone, more maintains the current charge. However, my phone is about 2 years old and I am chalking this up to the battery starting to go out and not the issue of the device. Worth the $$$? I say yes! ... show more
