I have a 21 lb Frenchie that needs regular baths due to skin sensitivities and allergies. From wet to dry (no toweling) it takes me 80-90 mins w/ a regular hair dryer (no heat); 60-70 mins (low heat). With the Shelandy it took me 27 mins from wet to dry on max speed, no toweling, no heat, one 15-sec break, and one squirrelly Frenchie. I imagine this will go even quicker w/ the heat option turned on. Pros: Unit feels robust, hefty, durable and well-made. Feels like a 10lb bowling ball when moving it around. The air speed was plenty for my French Bulldog. It was blowing her over at some points. Cons: The sound is louder than my hair dryer (I had the unit right next to my hip). Unit also gets pretty warm when in use, as does the hose, w/out the heat on. Noticeable, but not bothersome. I wish the cord length was 2’ longer, but that doesn’t hinder the performance. If you have dogs who need grooming often, this is a great purchase! It is always such a long process if you groom your dogs at home because the drying time can take a while! This blow dryer is great! It has cooking and heating options (but the heating option is not too hott to use for your animals). It has also helped with deshedding my dogs and getting all of that excess hair off of them, which means less dog hair in the house. Product works great, has different levels of air force with great power and many attachments! It is also not too loud so my dogs aren’t terrified of it. Very durable and dries my pups SO fast. I am a pet groomer of 20 years. I have used the canine dryers which are number one but they are expensive. I thought maybe I try a little less expensive dryer and I like this one because of the heat and the speed it does on small dogs, I highly recommend it to groomers, who need to use this on small dogs and also any client or pet owner that has a small dog. I like the fact that it has different nozzles and it works at different speeds and the heat on it is amazing drives quicker. It’s very lightweight. The only thing I would recommend is that you get an extension cord because the cord on it is very short, but I like this very much, highly recommended Filter is easy to clean . I use this on my golden doodle after giving her a bath. She has curly fur so our groomer recommended us to get one of these. It works well. The power is strong enough to dry her. There is an option to use hot or cold air. I wish we could change the temperature but it only allows hot or cold. It is not much louder than a regular blow dryer. ... show more

This thing has so much power that I actually had to use it on the lowest setting for my cavalier. I can't wait to use it on my pyrenees! And despite it, having huge amounts of power, It is actually really quiet on the lowest setting. I used it on my cavalier inside my bathroom with the door closed, and it's actually quieter than my personal hairdryer 😅 But a hundred times more power! Highly highly recommend! ... show more

I recently got a mini Bernedoodle and started grooming myself. I used my very powerful Babyliss hair dryer, but it took forever. Got this one, and I have to say wow!! It’s great!! My 7 month old puppy didn’t think it was too loud and she was standing right next to it. Started out on low flow and worked up the dial. The heat setting seems perfect for a dog. We’ve had this for 5 years and it’s still going strong. It works great to dry our Australian Shepherd but I will say… she hates it. It’s super loud so we often put a headband style ear muff on her so she tolerates it better. But for the price it’s super convenient, long lasting, and works as described.
