I got the shea butter to try on my hair, I recently colored it and it's dry and breaking. The shea butter is really heavy, I wouldn't brush it thru w a wide tooth comb like if usually do- but it definitely holds in moisture! If you use a light touch, you could use it to style wavy or curly hair - but I think it excels on my skin! Definitely try it if you have dry skin. I been using this product for a couple months. It definitely does what it’s supposed to do for my skin. I had bumps on the back of my legs from waxing for a couple days so I exfoliated in the shower and used this butter to smooth over my bum a and my legs are back to normal and soft. The texture is definitely thick like clay so I put a bit of oil (preferably avocado oil for me) to make the butter creamy and smooth to rub on my skin. I have suffered with the miserable itch of eczema for years now. I have been applying this liberally to my skin multiple times daily, specifically in problem areas. I just got this on Tuesday, today is Friday, barely 4 days of use. One area of skin on my abdomen was discolored & hardened from years of scratching. The discoloration is now gone, skin is soft again & the area is almost completely healed. I still have problem itch areas, but it is not as controlling as it usually is. When it itches, I gently rub on more shea butter. I am really hoping that with continued use I can at least get the problem patches healed & under control. It has no real scent, kind of smells like plastic. Not a great smell, but not bad either. It is smooth & easily applied. It’s solid, but melts with friction/heat. Living in Texas & having ordered during summertime, mine was delivered as a liquid, but it was wrapped in airtight plastic & the container did not leak. I LOVE this shea butter. It is actually more spreadable than other pure shea butters I've tried. I bought this while I was pregnant and used this to prevent stretch marks. I fully expected to get stretch marks because my mom has them. I applied this twice daily since the beginning of my 2nd trimester and am now 7 weeks postpartum. If you have dry skin or chapped lips, you should try it. I love that I get so much in this little tub. I don’t use it for regular lotion but it works really great on my lips and other areas of my body, hands and elbows, which always seem to be dry for me.
