Description

CUT. PUSH. DONE. Used to join different size pipe together. Compatible with PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and HDPE pipe in any combination and does not require soldering, gluing, crimping or the use of specialized tools for installation. The SharkBite Connection System makes any plumbing project fast and easy thanks to unique push-to-connect technology. When you insert a pipe into a SharkBite quick-connect fitting, the fitting's stainless-steel teeth bite down and grip the pipe, while its special O-ring compresses to create a watertight seal. No soldering, no clamps, no glue. SharkBite products work with your existing plumbing, are easy to disassemble for changing and reusing fittings, and can be rotated for installation in tight spaces. Whether you need to repair a broken pipe or plumb a whole house, SharkBite provides a push-to-connect solution and leak-free results. From the Manufacturer SharkBite is the push-fit connection system that's really taking hold. It's the easiest way to join copper, CPVC or PEX pipe in any combination - with no soldering, clamps, unions or glue. Just insert the pipe and the stainless steel teeth bite down and grip tight, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a perfect seal. Disassembly is just as fast using the simple disconnect tool. So fittings and valves can be easily changed and reused. They can even be rotated after assembly for easier installation in tight spaces. Get SharkBite, and get a grip on your next plumbing project. These fittings are lead free and meet all requirements for plumbing in California and Vermont.

  • Wrong part, I'm past the deadline to return
Size: 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch x 1/2 inch
I ordered this fitting for my parent's cabin in the mountains. I ordered it in August, but could not get to the project until now, October. I opened the box, had the correct faucet, correct sharkbite elbow, but an opened bag with the wrong reducing tee in the bag. It is supposed to be the push to connect fitting, but it has the rimmed ends that take the crimp tool to install. I'm up in a little town with minimal hardware stores, 300 miles from home. Arrrgghh Update, 10/23/2018 Ayush, a very helpful employee from Amazon, helped to obtain a refund on this part. I still wish I had the correct part, but am happy with Amazon's service. ... show more

  • No leaks, works copper-pex-etc
Size: 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch x 1/2 inch
Exactly as you'd expect. Adds 1/2" line to existing 3/4" line (or whatever your application is). Does indeed work for anything advertised (I expect). Added a 1/2" pex line to 3/4" copper line with this. Apparently works for copper, pex, cpvc, and something else. Based on OD, so each material choice affects water volume. ... show more

  • Who needs a plumber?
Size: 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch x 1/2 inch
What a nice departure from soldering. These made it simple to replace my corroded, clogged 1/2” trunk line in the basement with 3/4”, thereby greatly increasing available flow. All work flawlessly and they are removable/reusable!

  • Easiest plumming job I ever did.
Size: 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch x 1/2 inch
I wanted to add a water faucet for unsoftened water. I decided to try these shark bite fitting, I have always been a copper Plummer before. If these rubber rings don't rot and start to leak I love these things. I do still have some reservations to using them. rubber does rot.

  • Not much more than a traditional soldered coupling.
Size: 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch x 1/2 inch
These things are the bomb-diggity! No soldering and quick and easy installation. Watertight and very comparable in price to a traditional soldered coupling(also minimal labor and no supplies needed.) I used mine with PE-RT tubing.

  • Peace of mind, no-brainer to install
Size: 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch x 1/2 inch
I like Sharkbite fittings because they are so easy to use, just push fit and you're done. I use them extensively under the house where they're accessible, just in case of a leak, although none of these fittings has leaked and I've been using them for several years. I still don't use them inside the house within closed off walls, just in case of a leak. I do like to remove the plastic inserts, that are needed for PEX tubing, because they can make it a little difficult to insert copper pipe where they aren't needed. I prefer it when the fittings come with these inserts packaged separately, then I just discard them. ... show more

  • Sharkbite fittings are great
Size: 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch x 1/2 inch
I love Sharkbite fittings. They save so much time as opposed to the old copper and solder method. I used these to add a flush-kit valve for a tankless water heater. Installation was quick and easy.

  • You can call a plumber for $200 or use Sharkbites DIY.
Size: 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch x 1/2 inch
Anyone with a pipe cutter and a tape measure can save hundreds of dollars of plumber bills. No solder or compression fittings. Cut pipe to required length, insert. You're done. A DIYselfer's dream come true.
