    • Delicious coffee in my home!
I was so annoyed with bitter coffee from our coffee maker. We tried different drip machines and several different coffees. Also annoyed that I had to make a short drive to Dunkin for a latte. The looks of this type of machine was always intimidating for me, but it turned out to be pretty easy, once you get the hang of it. We ordered the Geek Chef Espresso Machine first. Upon setup and reading "first time use," the thing never worked. I tried switching outlets. I tried everything. I packed it up and sent it back. So disappointed. I was pretty determined to get an espresso machine and did some more searching. I came across this SHARDOR Espresso Machine,15 Bar ... and we are quite happy with it so far. I prefer the buttons on this one (and the temperature gauge) compared to the Geek Chef model. If you steam your milk before making the coffee, the machine has to cool down before it starts making the coffee, and that takes several minutes, so we make the coffee first, then froth/steam the milk. Also, this machine is semi-automatic, so you have to turn the switch off when you reach the desired amount of coffee in your cup. The Geek Chef stated it was fully automatic, so I assume it automatically shut off after 4 ounces? I don't know because I couldn't get it to steam or make coffee. We are only two days into it, and we love this machine! I hope it lasts and will update this post if it doesn't. Almost too good to be true! I was also confused about the type of coffee to purchase for this machine, because nobody ever addressed it in posts or the description of the product; at least, what I could see. I purchased the ground LavAzza espresso Italiano coffee from the local grocery. (100% pure Arabica) It has a really good taste. Also purchased a bottle of refrigerated Dunkin coffee creamer (with sugar and cream) for frothing. Together, the taste of the finished product is good; way better than any other cup of coffee I've had at home, and comparable to what I purchase from Dunkin and Starbucks. My husband just frothed/steamed whole milk, poured that over his espresso and added a teaspoon of sugar. His tasted good too. We are just super delighted with this machine and would recommend it whole-heartedly. ... show more

I swear this espresso machine has to be one of the most beginner friendly espresso machines on the market. The buttons are very straightforward, and the instructions are eas to understand. there's also a guide with super helpful pictures on how to make different drinks which is a nice touch and has gotten me to try a few new things I don't normally drink. Many espresso machines have two places where liquid is dispensed but this machine has more of an on/off switch so you can dispense however much you want. The downside is you can't walk away from the machine while making your drink. I think the steam wand is poorly designed. Using the milk frothing pitcher I got, I have to fill it with way more milk than I would use for the wand to reach the milk. Perhaps it would work ok with a different style of pitcher (though mine is a pretty standard design). FOrtunately, I have a separate milk frother so I have continued to use that. I took off one star because of the frothing wand but overall I'm happy with the machine and would recommend it as long as you are ok dealing with the wand issue. ... show more

    • Great intro espresso machine, takes 51mm accessories
This is my first espresso machine and I can already tell it’s not going to be my last. It’s made well, so I don’t anticipate that it will wear out soon, but it seems to be non-standard in many respects. It looks great and has a small footprint. The temp gauge dial is a nice feature and seems to be accurate, it makes a great cup of espresso. I learned through trial and error that it has a 51mm portafilter, nobody clued me in on the difference in nomenclature as the portafilter measures 58mm across the opening. If you’re looking for a bottomless portafilter for this machine, be aware that the 3 fins/ears are not that thick. Some 51mm 3-fin portafilters may not fit. Hopefully this will help others! ... show more

    • Small footprint
This machine does as advertised, has a small footprint and is perfect for affordable espresso! My daughter was a barista for years so she took to this machine instantly! If you have never used one (like myself) there’s a pretty strong learning curve. It does have simple instructions though. The only negative we have is that the plastic pieces are pretty delicate. I’m worried they won’t last a long time. However, the bulk of the machine is sturdy and built for daily use. Overall, it’s a big step up from a nespresso machine and after a few try’s you have perfect espresso quickly. This would be great for a dorm, small apartment or for anyone who wants to stops driving through Starbucks every morning :) ... show more

Works pretty well and the instructions are good. Comes with a mixing instruction for different types of espressos no measurements though just visuals. You need to make sure your grounds arent too small or you will clog the espresso cup attachments it came with and you will fight with your machine for hours lol If it's not coming out when you switch it to espresso to dispense your cup is clogged. Overall though small footprint tasty coffee and it's great for espresso lovers getting into brewing your own. ... show more
