  • A very nice sink. Improves the usability as well as the beauty of the kitchen.
This sink was added as part of a DIY kitchen remodel. The old sink was a double basin that was OK, but we wanted a larger usable volume. This fits the bill perfectly. Water does not splash out when washing pots and pans. There is ample room for hand washing anything and everything. Specifically, we hand wash large pots and pans, and this sink has all the room we need to wash our biggest and baddest. I do a lot of barbecue and smoking. I like to clean and prepare my meats in the sink, as that simplifies containment and clean up. For example: Prepping turkey or chicken. I really don’t want poultry drippings anywhere in my kitchen… but when I do the prep in the sink; everything is contained and easy to clean. I also clean very large pork shoulders, and again this sink is perfect. The sink has plenty of room for a large HDPE cutting board in the bottom (so avoid slicing directly on the sink itself, which seems like a poor choice). The extra depth of the sink does make it less useful for cleaning vegetables in the sink itself, but I normally do that on the counter top anyway. That said, my wife carved a watermelon in the sink the other day, and it worked out beautifully… no watermelon juice running everywhere, the melon itself was big enough to be easily worked in the sink, and plenty of room to move the rinds to the side while working. The sink is installed as a drop in. I did not use the supplied fastening clips, but instead used silicone to fasten the sink down AND provide a waterproof seal around the edge. This application allowed me to really fine tune the leveling of the sink, and make sure nothing was going to leak back in around the sink. I used composite (i.e. cheap) countertops, and they do NOT like getting their substrates wet. The pro about this is that the sink is made of such a think piece of stainless, and there is a good ½” available around the outside edge, that it is easy to make it completely waterproof. This sink is not going to deform from being full of water. This is a nice piece of steel, and is going to stay rigid for its lifetime. Cons: The cutout template that was supplied with this sink was NOT correct for the sink I received. The sheet did say to check to make sure it was correct. I checked. It was not. Instead, I put down painters tape on the countertop, positioned the sink upside down on the countertop, and marked the outline of the sink. The funky mounting clip holders are approximately ½” from the outside of the sink (those clips are the reason the supplied cutout template would not work. The template would be fine for an under mount). I marked a line ½” inside the sink outline. Then I bent the mounting clips a bit back so they were vertical. I used a jig saw with a VERY good blade to cut the hole, and it worked very well. Do be sure to support the cutout so it does not try to fall and break off after cutting a significant porting of the hole. When I put the sink in the hole, it had about 1/16” inch play side to side, and none front and back. The bottom of the sink is sloped to the drain, but is not a very steep slope. Make very sure your countertop is level, and your sink is mounted level with the countertop. If it is not level, you are going to get less than satisfactory results, as water will pool on the low side. This is a con, just because you need to be extra careful to get the countertop and the sink very level. I don’t consider this a problem with the sink itself, and the sink works nicely when level. Just do be fastidious about leveling. The installation instructions were not good, specifically because there were no installation instructions (other than the template that told you not to trust the template, and measure it yourself). Summary: I would buy another sink like this in a heartbeat. It is stainless, and sometimes stainless is a pain to keep looking nice, but it is NOT going to fail. Most commercial kitchens have stainless for a reason, and they have products that keep their equipment looking nice and operational. I will be using those products to keep my sink in top shape. The thickness of the sink is going to make it stay in place and be rigid, not warp and leak, and is not going to rust. The depth of the sink is wonderful, and the primary reason I like it so much. Installation instructions are non-existent, but even as a DIY guy, I could figure out how to make it work just fine. If you want to make the clips work, American Standard has the exact same clips. I don’t want to post a link to another product, but the info is available if you look a bit. ... show more

  • Heavy gauge well made sink
Size: 28x20 Inch Drop In Sink Color: Brushed Nickel
Since I don't order laundry sinks often, I don't have another to compare it to, but my requirement was for a sink that was less than 20 inches from front to back and this sink fit the bill. It arrived in excellent condition and fit perfectly. It is nice and deep and looks great. It spots easily and I want it to keep looking good, so I make sure to rinse and dry it out each time I use it. I haven't had it long, so I can't comment on scratch resistance. ... show more

  • Pretty nice sink with a couple of concerns
Size: 28x20 Inch Drop In Sink Color: Brushed Nickel
Sink is very heavy duty with a very nice finish. Looks like it will be very robust which I wanted for my shop sink installation. I just installed it so it has not been subjected to any use yet. I can't speak to scratch resistance yet. Disappointments: 1) Even though the photo shows the sink with a single hole, mine came with a second hole in the location typically used as soap dispenser. This bugged be because I specifically looked for SINGLE hole sink. I elected not to go through the return process, so I ordered a soap dispenser to fill the hole. 2) I'm not a professional installer so have not seen what is typical for this type of sink, but I found that the flatness of the sink on the periphery was not real good. I used the sink in a top mount, so the outer edge of the sink was slightly raised above the counter top in certain portions (perhaps 1.5mm gap worst case). This sink can be either top or bottom mounted. 3) The mounting clips provided to hold the sink unto the countertop were crap. You might consider getting better ones that are heavier duty. The ones provided bent out of shape during installation. The footpad of the clip slipped around on the countertop back surface. I had to add spacer blocks between the sink wall and the countertop edge to prevent the clips from slipping off on the faucet side flange of the sink. I had already started my assembly with sealant everywhere before I tried to fasten the clips or I might have gone looking for better ones. ... show more

  • Good sink for the money!
Size: 28x20 Inch Drop In Sink Color: Brushed Nickel
Been plumbing for 15 years. This sink is Vlvery good quality. I am using it for a drop in. It looks pretty good as a drop in and would probably look even better as an under mount. The fastening system for using the sink as a drop in is a pain in the ass but that's a one time thing. The sink is super thick stainless and has sharp corners. I just wish it was made somewhere else other than China. I Recommend ... show more

  • Does not drain, stains, cutting board is warped. Don't buy!
Size: 15x19 Inch Undermount Sink Color: Brushed Nickel
We purchased this sink as an undermount for our bar area. Our installer used different clips because the ones that came with the sink are unsafe and a poor quality. We have used the sink 3 times. The water does not drain and the water spots do not come off the sink using stainless steel cleaner. We have not used the cutting board because we don't want to scratch it. I know that defeats the purpose of purchasing a sink with a cutting board. The finish on the cutting board was a D- so we used mineral oil to bring the finish up to an A+. We have had the sink for a couple of weeks and now it has spots and the cutting board is warped. Again, we have used the sink 3 times. By using I mean we ran water through it twice and washed out 2 shot glasses once. We paid a fortune for our counters so we will have to live with this sink. Other reviewers have said that the sink has rusted. We plan not to use this sink so that it does not rust. What a waist!!! Don't buy it! ... show more
