Nice finish table, very steady but the adjustable shelf is awful to adjust. I had the table for a year easy to put asamble. The adjustable shelf is adjusted with 4 nuts its more challenging to change than the other table I have that has a crank that I can put the shelve up and down.

Ordered this sewing table so I don't have to tie up my dining room table when I have a sewing project. Easy to assemble and works perfect for me. The table folds easily for storage but is fairly heavy. Since the top is probably made of particle board covered in some type of plastic I noticed it sags slightly in the middle. As far as assembly, and expectations: Assembly was a breeze. The instructions were simple and had plenty of pictures. The parts are all organized and numbered. The table feels solid the feet are adjustable to stop any wobbling. If i had any request for the company, rubber or plastic stoppers for the draws instead of screws which can scratch the powder coating on the draws with the threads. And although every machine is different maybe a few rubber washer options to make the lift more flush with the table for those that feel its a must. Still, those are personal recommendations. I would approve of this table as a laptop table for sure, but not to do you the reader a disservice, the machine is new and untested as well, so as a sewing table you’ll have to wait for me to update my review. The media could not be loaded. Bottom line: it’s a fairly cheap folding table so if that’s what you’re looking for, this will probably work. Tabletop looks and feels like wood chipboard with vinyl over the top. There are no structural supports under the table top so it flexes quite a bit depending on the speed you’re sewing (see video). The legs seem fairly well made and are probably the nicest part of the table, though they are minimally welded. The sewing machine/keyboard shelf is adjustable but tightening it in place flexes the mounting brackets. This specific version has no storage compartments and is just a table top with a tray that can be lowered. It will probably hold up to periodic light duty sewing and crafts and it is light weight so that’s a bonus. If you’re looking for something sturdy to leave set up long term I’d keep looking. ... show more

So much of the affordable sewing furniture available is so flimsy and unstable that it’s not worth purchasing. To me, a sewing table should be sturdy and strong enough that I’m not distracted from my sewing while I’m using it. But the more it wiggles, the more I zero in on the table’s shortcomings rather than my sewing project at hand. But this table by Sew Ready is a step above the rest of the tables in this price range! I’ve been using it for over a year now, and I can say mine is rock solid steady, just what I wanted! It doesn’t come with any real built in storage, but that’s ok. I bought a fabric pocketed caddy intended to sit under the machine with a flap where the pockets are hanging down. I use these pockets for my snippers and scissors, a fabric marking pen, pins, frequently used pressor feet, a few bobbins, etc.. there is also ample space for my sewing basket to keep other potentially needed items very close at hand. This is a heavy piece of furniture, and I had to open the box, and take about three or four trips with the parts, in order to get the all upstairs. Assembly is not difficult, but you need to follow the directions carefully. Just take your time, and study the directions. If you have never assembled furniture like this, it could be tough. I had recently assembled a desk and a coffee table, and I left this one for last, as I knew it was most complex. While they include a small wrench, you will also need a medium Phillips head screwdriver. I recommend you do the construction exactly where it will be placed, or very close. I was able to turn over the entire piece myself, but I was on carpeting, and that helps. The one real downside I have come across is that the bottom panel covers too much floorspace, where you would normally place the foot control. Apparently the designer didn't consult many women, maybe just one, as to where they liked the foot control. Annoying, and I'd have given it five stars otherwise, because it's well designed. The way the panel for the lowering and raising the machine is wonderfully easy, especially if you have to this regularly, as in quilting. I'm glad I purchased it, worth the price. ... show more
